"But, Master Yarzion, if the Force has decided this is your time…"
"Who will complete your training? Heh. I asked the same question when my own Master passed…"
―Ordea and Yarzion Vell[1]

Ordea was a Force-sensitive human who served as a Jedi Padawan in the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. Around 149 BBY, when their Jedi Master, Yarzion Vell, was dying while on the planet Tozil, Ordea was unsure of who would complete their training, which Vell recognized and likened to his own experience after the death of his own Master, Lulad. Vell explained that Jedi Master Kelnacca had completed his training and told Ordea about his training under him. While they spoke, Kelnacca arrived to see Vell, and he died soon after. Ordea and Kelnacca then held a funeral for Vell, during which Kelnacca agreed to become Ordea's new Master. Around 148 BBY, Kelnacca completed their training.

Ordea was a human Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1] Around 149 BBY,[2] Ordea's Jedi Master, Yarzion Vell, was dying on the planet Tozil. Ordea was concerned about who would complete their training after he died, so Vell told them about a similar experience he had after his own Master, Lulad, died during the destruction of the Starlight Beacon space station[1] in 230 BBY.[3] Vell explained that he had completed his training under Jedi Master Kelnacca and told stories of his training to Ordea. When Vell mentioned his home planet's tradition of being tattooed with the name of one's greatest teacher, Ordea was shocked, but Vell explained it was a sign of respect. Vell then spoke further about his tattoos, telling her how Lulad had gotten herself tattooed with Vell's name, while Kelnacca had said nothing in response to learning about them.[1]

Vell continued telling Ordea about his training and the Padawan was again surprised when they heard how suddenly Kelnnacca had knighted him. Vell then explained that after he was knighted, Kelnacca asked him to do something important for him and told Ordea they could ask Kelnacca about it themself. Ordea then turned to see that Kelnacca had arrived. Vell was able to acknowledge that his old Master had come and then died.[1]

Kelnacca then picked up Vell's body and carried it outside. Ordea followed him and the two held a funeral where they burned Vell's body. As they watched the flames, Ordea noticed the tattoos on Kelnacca's head and realized that Kelnacca had been tattooed with Vell's name in accordance with the tradition of Vell's homeworld, which was what he had asked of Vell after knighting him. Ordea began to ask Kelnacca if he would complete their training, explaining that Vell had said they had as little as six months left, but then stopped and apologized for asking, stating it was inappropriate for them to do so when Kelnacca had come to pay his respects. The Padawan began to walk away, but Kelnacca ignited his lightsaber, agreeing to become Ordea's new Master. Ordea responded by igniting their own lightsaber and replying that they were ready.[1] Around 148 BBY,[2] Ordea became a Jedi Knight after Kelnacca completed their training.[4]
