Wrosidians were a semi-plant-based sentient species that originated from the Outer Rim's Wrosdi system. The humanoids had a set of five organs for atmospheric filtering at the back of their head. Members of the species began their life as a bud on a stalk, which resulted in Wrosidian culture not having the same familial and gender identities found in other cultures, but Wrosidians who budded from the same stalk were considered roughly analogous to relatives. In 132 BBY, the Wrosidians Bihun and Basko were present in the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on the planet Ueda when the human assassin Mae Aniseya attempted to kill the human Jedi Master Indara in the establishment.
Biology and appearance
Wrosidians were a humanoid sentient species of semi-plant-based beings[2] that originated from[3] the Wrosdi system in the Outer Rim.[4] The method of reproduction used by Wrosidians involved members of the species starting their lives as buds that grew on stalks. The species possessed a crown of five sensitive organs for atmospheric filtering at the back of their head, which were yellow-orange and darkened at the base.[2] The species had two upper limbs that ended in three-fingered hands, which gave them enough dexterity to use chopsticks. In addition, the species had a set of two lower limbs, on which they could stand. Wrosidians were capable of eating noodles.[1] The Wrosidian Basko wore corrugated bellow-plates that assisted them with breathing.[2]

Wrosisian faces featured a pair of eyes with red sclera and brown irises, with a nose seated between the eyes. The face also had a mouth under the nose that enabled them to speak and contained teeth. Series of vertical slits were located on Wrosidian faces between the nose and the eyes. The non-humans lacked visible ears. Members of the species had green skin with a purple tint on some parts of their faces—including around the eyes—and a brown color on their nose.[2]
Society and culture
The method of reproduction used by Wrosidians resulted in their culture lacking a direct equivalent of familial and gender identities found in many other cultures. While Wrosidians who budded from the same stalk were roughly analogous to relatives, their relationship was distinct from that of siblings. Members of the species wore clothing.[2]
Wrosidians in the galaxy
Wrosidians were a part of galactic society[1] by 132 BBY. That year,[5] the Wrosidians Bihun and Basko—who originated from the same stalk[2]—were seated at a table in[1] the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on the world Ueda,[6] eating noodles as the human assassin[1] Mae Aniseya[2] entered the shop and walked past them on her way to murder the human Jedi Master Indara. The pair left their place at the table after Aniseya started a fight with Indara's companions.[1]
Behind the scenes
Wrosidians appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Lost / Found,"[1] the first episode of the live-action Disney+ series The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[7] They were first depicted in a trailer shown exclusively at Celebration Europe[8] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[9] The species was identified as Wrosidian in the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo, published in 2025.[2] They were designed by the creature and droid FX team led by creative supervisor Neal Scanlan.[10] The scenes in the noodle shop were filmed at Shinfield Studios,[11] England.[12] Both Wrosidians were designed and built by Tim Berry and Nicolas Ferrard, performed by Hannah Hornsby and Caitlin Nicholas, and puppeteered by Wim Oppenheimer and Patrick Comberford.[13]
