Bellow-plates were a clothing item worn in order to assist with breathing, worn by humanoids on the upper part of their torso.[1] In 132 BBY,[2] the Wrosidian Basko wore gray, corrugated bellow-plates while in the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on the planet Ueda,[1] where they were eating noodles with[3] the Wrosidian Bihun and the Reshtini Kesmer Faloodi.[1]

Behind the scenes

Bellow-plates first appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Lost / Found,"[3] the first episode of the live-action Disney+ series The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[4] Prior to their debut in the episode, they were first depicted in a trailer shown exclusively at Celebration Europe[5] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[6] They were later identified as bellow-plates in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The noodle shop scenes were filmed at Shinfield Studios,[7] England.[8]
