The wedding of Stekan Sculdun and Leida Mothma was created for the second season of the Disney+ television series Star Wars: Andor. The event was first mentioned in production brief linked to the show released by Walt Disney Studios via Getty Images on April 10, 2025.[4] Hundreds of costumes, including jewellery and head pieces were created for the extras playing the wedding guests. Leida's wedding dress alone took six months to put together.[5]
According to cinematographer Christophe Nuyens, the party scene at the end of the wedding was to be depicted as "a day scene that feels like a nightclub," so the flare of the setting sun was used to provide lightning in lieu of strobes or party lights.[6]
