Jodi was an alien who attended the three-day wedding of the Chandrilans Stekan Sculdun and Leida Mothma at the Mothma Estate on the planet Chandrila in 4 BBY. During the first day, they chatted with another alien near the estate's landing pad and later attended a party where Davo Sculdun, father of the groom, spoke with them. On the third day, Jodi watched Davo unveil a Chandi Merle he was gifting the newlyweds, then watched the couple's first dance, before dancing and singing to the song "Niamos!."

Biography

A Chandi wedding

Jodi was an alien who was invited to the three-day wedding of the Chandrilans Leida Mothma and Stekan Sculdun at the Mothma Estate on[1] the planet[3] Chandrila in 4 BBY. On the first day, Jodi stood conversing with another alien guest atop the steps down to one of the estate's landing pads as the bride's parents, Senator Mon Mothma and Perrin Fertha, greeted Fertha's aunt Squidna and uncle Sordo as they arrived by airspeeder.[1]

Davo Sculdun grips Jodi's hand in a courtyard of the Mothma Estate as other guests mingle nearby.

Jodi spoke with Davo Sculdun during the latter's son's wedding.

At a party inside one of the estate's small courtyards[4] later that night, Jodi spoke with two humans[1] as other guests mingled over cocktails. While making the rounds,[4] Davo Sculdun, the father of the groom, approached Jodi and grasped the alien's hand, getting their attention to tell them that something was done. Jodi acknowledged this before turning back to the two humans.[1]

First dance, all dance

On the third day of the wedding, after the ceremony, Jodi was part of a crowd that gathered in the estate ballroom to watch Davo unveil his gift to the newlyweds. The alien stood directly behind the antiques dealer Luthen Rael as Davo pulled away a cloth to reveal a Chandi Merle, explaining the temple figure's provenance and introducing Rael to the crowd as the man who helped him acquire the gift.[2]

Leida Mothma and Stekan Sculdun dance traditionally in the center of a ballroom as a crowd of wedding guests stand circled around them. A three-piece band plays music to one side.

Jodi watched the first dance of Leida Mothma and Stekan Sculdun.

The guests then mingled around the statue, with Jodi talking to two humans near a window until an announcer asked the guests to clear the ballroom's dance floor as the Chandi Merle was wheeled away. Jodi formed a circle round the dance floor with the other guests to watch Stekan and Leida in their first dance. After more mingling, a speaker droid entered the room and began playing music for the guests to all dance to. During the song "Niamos!," Jodi raised their hands and cried out the name of the song at its climax along with the other guests.[2]

Personality and traits

Jodi had gray and brown skin and dark eyes.[2]

Equipment

On the first day of the wedding, Jodi wore lavender robes with white shoes and a silver necklace with a large series of concentric circles hanging over their chest.[1] On the third day, the alien wore a deep blue robe with a silver shawl over it, as well as white shoes, the same silver necklace as the first day, and an additional lower-hanging necklace of white spheres.[2]

Behind the scenes

Robert Skene created a mold of Jodi.

Jodi first appeared in "One Year Later" and "Harvest," the first and third episodes of the second season of the live-action Disney+ television series Andor,[1] both of which aired on April 22, 2025.[5] Ivan Manzella created concept art of Jodi[6] and Justin Pitkethly sculpted the character, which Robert Skene then used to make a five-part fiberglass mold of Jodi's mask as part of work done for Neal Scanlan's creature shop, with Kenny Wilson as Moldshop HOD.[7] The scene in which Jodi first appears[1] was filmed as a "oner" and was the final visual effects shot filmed for the season, completed in collaboration between Industrial Light & Magic and Scanline VFX on August 5, 2024.[8]
