Atmospheres

Hey, would a planet with an atmosphere that is polluted be a Type IV planet, even though it being a Type IV planet is not stated? Same question for planets that are simply breathable with an "Oxygen mix", where a breath mask is neither suggested nor required, but it does not state that it is a Type I planet. Take Coruscant for example, its atmosphere is breathable and does not recommend or require a breath mask, would it therefore being a Type I planet? --Erebus Chronus (talk) 19:49, May 14, 2020 (UTC)

  • Don't worry, I resent at speculation when it comes to Star Wars. I will only add the Atmosphere type categories to those articles that Type I/II/III/IV is evident in the infobox. I'm well aware that speculation is prohibited. However, some of the articles I changed from Breathable to Type I atmosphere are actually Type I atmosphere planets, so don't worry about those. RE:Bot requests

I realize that doing this personally can be tedious, but I like doing it myself because it makes me feel like I'm dedicated to getting my work done without any assistance, but seeing as that I still have over 200 infoboxes with a missing parameter(s), I will submit a bot request for the rest of the articles because I am getting tired of this repetitive action. • I see the problem, and have made a bot request for them to do it instead because my edits appear on Recent Changes while bot edits do not, which creates "traffic" and prevents the admins and other users from viewing recent contributions to make sure that vandalism is not taking place and or prevents them from locating mistakes on very recent submissions. I believe this is the problem you're trying to tell me, but I do understand that I should just leave massive fixes to the bots from here on out. Sorry for causing any difficulties. re: Links

I don't quite understand why you reverted my edit on Obi-Wan Kenobi. The link to time made no sense where it was; it is about time as in units of time, whereas the term "time" was being used as in "x times". I understand that Wikipedia and Wookieepedia are not identical, but at the very least some basic concepts should still be applied. In particular, I think that links should be avoided if they cannot help a reader understand the article any more, as is the case with "one-time". Overlinkage makes it difficult to find relevant articles, and it is worsened here because the #1 rule of linking in the MOS ends up creating a lot of seas of blue, and because of the already existing presence of easter egg links, meaning that you never know where a link is going to lead until you've already hovered over or clicked on it.

If the links are going to stay, then at the very least something needs to be done about the easter egg links so that readers are able to know where they are going to get sent. {{Sweetkid01|Talk|Contributions}} 18:12, August 25, 2020 (UTC)

Hey, I apologize if my message was a little bit blunt, but can you please at least explain why my edit was reverted? I'm currently confused about the policies on linking, and recently I've been feeling quite WP:BITTEN.

I think you should look at this excerpt from WP:BITE:

Remember, our motto and our invitation to the newcomer is be bold. We have a set of rules, standards, and traditions, but they must not be applied in such a way as to thwart the efforts of newcomers who take that invitation at face value. A newcomer brings a wealth of ideas, creativity and experience from other areas that, current rules and standards aside, have the potential to better our community and Wikipedia as a whole. It may be that the rules and standards need revising or expanding; perhaps what the newcomer is doing "wrong" may ultimately improve Wikipedia. Observe for a while and, if necessary, ask what the newcomer is trying to achieve before concluding that their efforts are wanting or that they are simply "wrong".

And to answer the question of what I am trying to achieve, I'm just trying to make Wookieepedia more readable/easier on the eyes, and to point readers towards pages that will help them learn more about Star Wars. Most pages that exist in the real world, like Limb and Sexes, wind up simply saying things like "darth vader lost his arms" and "x species has more than two sexes," which don't help the readers learn much. Canon

I just noticed that there is at least one Canon and Legends pages that have pretty much the information and the other doesn't seem to be necessary. Take the Kerch Kushi page. Both come from one episode and only the episode, no book or other non-canonical appearance and have the same information up to the Behind the scenes section, so it stands to reason that the two pages can be merged and the Legends page can be removed. Jedi trainees of the Jedi Order category

I recently noticed something about the Category:Jedi trainees of the Jedi Order category. There are a number of Jedi trainees that were trained after the end of the Jedi Order, the Republic, during the Galactic Empire and even in the New Jedi Order like Ben/Kylo Ren. Jedi that were trained when the Jedi Order died out after Order 66 and the rise of the Empire like Ezra Bridger and Leia should not be counted among them since they can't be trainees of the Jedi Order if there wasn't one to begin with. Now as to Ben Solo/Kylo Ren, the Jedi Order already ended years before he was even born and trained as a Jedi and the New Jedi Order was the Jedi Order in the galaxy not the old Jedi Order. In the book The Courtship of Princess Leia, a fortress of the Singing Mountain Clan makes an appearance, but the clan's stronghold makes an appearance in Star Wars Galaxies.
