Kal'Shebbol update

Hey EJ - I noticed you tagged Kal'Shebbol with an update tag for the new Core Rulebook - flicking through I can only find a mention at the start of the galaxy section in the book, which seems more of a mention/ source addition to me rather than an update. Hmmm. Kal'Shebbol is located on the Trition Trade Route, which is a continuation of the Rimma, so the info may have been simplified for the book. RE: Guerrerite

Hi EJ. Guerrerite is one of a huge numbers of materials in the game that appears as a random drop and is then used in crafting, they literally seem to have just gone through our materials category. It drops as Guerrerite scrap metal, which can be crafted into a Guerrerite bar and then a Guerrerite sheet, although this is the case for all metals so nothing unique. The only recipe I can find using google that uses it is creating Satine Kryze's boots apparently [1], although I don't think theres a particularly complete record of all recipes anywhere. According to the wiki [2], the scrap metal is a common drop and so any enemy can drop it. Overall I would count almost all of it as game mechanics and just add in a sentence or something in behind the scenes, but it's up to you. Ayrehead02 (talk) 00:31, January 27, 2014 (UTC)

Dex's Dates

Hi Exile. Good job on working out the best reference for the destruction of Dex's, it's far better then "sometime around 18 BBY". Neutron Star class Bulk Cruiser

We have always known that the specifications given in Neutron Star-class bulk cruiser represented a common modification of the class rather than the stock ship from the shipyards. But until Dangerous Covenants came out we had no specifications for the original design. Now that we have data for both the logical thing to do is to create a separate page for the conversion and put the data and specifications for the stock ship on the original page. Which is exactly what I did so why did you undo it and what gives you the right to sabotage my work.

Dangerous Covenants was out weeks before I got it, and I specifically asked what the procedure for dealing with such a case more than a week ago but received no clear answer. You feel that the carrier variant doesn't deserve its own page ok that's your opinion. However based on the number of pages for variants of existing craft on Wookieepedia, many of them with fewer differences than those between the West End Games and Saga edition Neutron Star Bulk Cruiser Carrier conversions, and the non-carrier model from Dangerous Covenants, there is no grounds for forbidding having separate pages for both of the known common variants.

Ok after going through the sources I own here's what I know for certain. Both versions of the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, the Dark Force Rising Source Book, and The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide all depict the carrier variant. The Rebellion PC Game, its strategy guide, and Dangerous Covenants depict the non-carrier version of the ship. Of the listed Appearances Dark Force Rising definitely has the carrier variant, Rebellion definitely has a non-carrier variant, and The Hutt Gambit doesn't specify for certain. However given that the Bulk Cruisers in the Imperial fleet are the only capital ships in the fleet that aren't shown launching fighters I would bet they were a non-carrier variant. Now that we have that sorted what next?

Corona edit

Sorry for screwing things up. For some reason whenever I've tried to access that page and a few other ship class pages today today the text and infobox placement has been wrong and I was trying to fix it.

When I look at the Corona-class frigate page I see the first word of the article than the infobox with the text of the article resuming under the infobox rather than having the infobox to one side like normal. Sourcing for newly listed Episode VII books

Hi! The Edelweiss catalog has listed some new Episode VII books for release. The catalog has been used to cite Star Wars books before, but after the listings were published on some news sites, they were taken off the catalog. Screenshots were taken of the listings before they were taken down, however. Would it be okay for me to create pages for these books, citing the screenshots? --Dentface (talk) 20:26, November 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • Ease doesn't necessarily matter if the content is reliable. Some of the listings have quite a lot of detail about the contents of the books as well, so it wouldn't be like we would have a bunch of new stub articles. Edelweiss has been used as a source in the past, and the catalogs are added to the site by the publishers themselves, so it is pretty reliable. The listings technically haven't even been removed, they just can only be viewed by specific Edelweiss accounts now. I have the screenshots on my computer right now, and many reputable sites have some screenshots as well, so I don't see why we should wait. --Dentface (talk) 20:40, November 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • Oh, while I have you on the line, so to speak, I have another question about an article's history. I pointed out that this article seems to be missing some of its history, perhaps due to an article deletion and re-creation (or maybe an uncaught moving snafu of the type I introduced). Do you have access to a part of the article's history that regular users can't see? I wonder if there's anything more definitive about Tommy in previous revisions—or, conversely, if his article was previously deleted due to exactly the lack of clear evidence that I brought up. Character Relationships

Is there a preferred format for the order of relationships listed in a character's Relationships section? Alphabetical order, perhaps? Order of first encounter? Knights Of The Old Republic

Hello Exiledjedi. I hear you know quite a bit about KOTOR. I'm wondering if you can help with this. Ive recently installed KOTOR on my computer. This is part of the KOTOR Collection, by the way. The game launches and runs perfectly fine. I watch the opening crawl and cinematic. When character aboard the Endar Spire wakes up, the Republic officer charges in and issues his orders. Then I'm stuck with just being able to move the mouse cursor and click, but nothing else, I don't know what to do continue with the game, I'm just stuck there.
