Bring me the Guerrerite!

Alas, I only had access to "Bring Me the Children" when it was available on Star Wars Hyperspace. However, there is no mention of Guerrerite in the collected version of that comic, Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures 7, and though some panels were modified for that collection, I don't believe there is any place in the story where a mention of guerrerite would make any sense. I haven't seen proof, but it is my suspicion that Rich Handley and Abel G. Peña named the mineral after Enrique Guerrero, Abel's co-author on "20 Most Memorable Moments of the Expanded Universe." jSarek 04:50, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

Barn-burner

Just wanted to encourage everyone participating in December's barn-burner on Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace to keep up the hard work! Only two articles have been passed, but five are currently nominated, and I suspect numerous projects are underway. The month is over halfway through, so we need to hurry and finish as many articles as we can before the end of the month. Keep writing and keep reviewing! Also, don't forget about the current CT on Databank entries in the "Sources" section, as many articles will have to be updated to meet the new criteria. I thank all of you for taking part in this project and working to make the site better for the release of The Phantom Menace in 3-D in February, and I'm confident the results will be satisfactory. Hiya! Neither the Manga nor the comic adaptation featured Ellberger's face; rather, they both showed her starfighter with a speech bubble saying "One of ours coming out from the inside!" • I looked over the article. I cleaned it up a bit, and corrected any grammatical errors I saw. Information-wise it looks good, but I think it may be possible to expand upon parts of the article some more. When I have time tomorrow I'll look up some more info on him. You might want to consider labeling his article as a criminal with a criminal infobox? Not sure, anyways good job expanding the article. I'll look at it again tomorrow.     • Hiya. Well after looking through the TRE files, and multiple screenshots of Rainstealer, all of which show him to be that exact Human appearance, I figured it was pretty safe to conclude that he was at some point given a permanent Human appearance. Now, as far as the Bith depiction is concerned, I cannot say for certain the specifics about that. It seems highly likely that before he was given his Human appearance, that his appearance was randomized after each server reset. But we only have the SWG Friday Feature image to go by (which is from an official source of course), so I cannot say for certain. StarsiderSWG (talk) 00:39, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

WP:VG one year anniversary

WookieeProject Video Games has completed its first year! A year ago today, WookieeProject Video Games was founded. Although it started out rather small, it quickly grew to be currently one of the most productive WookieeProjects. In that year, WookieeProject Video Games has seen seven Featured articles, thirty-four Good articles, and sixty-five Comprehensive articles passed, a very impressive amount especially for such a short time. WP:VG was founded by Cal Jedi on July 8, 2011 with a mission "to improve...video game articles and bring them up to date" and also to "bring all related articles to Featured article status, Good article status, and Comprehensive article status." WP:VG has answered the call to the best of its ability. Five days after its formation, Exiledjedi joined the Project. More and more users began joining, until now, the project has eleven members. On July 26, 2011, the Project gained its first Comprehensive article, Unidentified Bakuran astromech droid, taken to status by Cal Jedi. Shortly thereafter, WP:VG's first Good article, J'Meeb Gumb, was taken to status by Exiledjedi on August 17, 2011. WP:VG's first Featured article, Battle of Kessel (0 ABY), was brought to status on October 19, 2011 by a guest nominator, Kilson. WP:VG has associated with many other WookieeProjects—such as WookieeProject The Old Republic, WookieeProject Knights of the Old Republic, WookieeProject Galaxies, and others—helping each other bring articles to status. Overall, Wookieepedia's video game articles have drastically improved. While many have been taken to status, many more have been worked on and improved through the efforts of WP:VG's members. There are many Star Wars video games. From the very first Star Wars game, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, to the recently released Kinect Star Wars, WP:VG has been there to work on an area on Wookieepedia that needs much attention. With the many games that have been produced under the Star Wars title, a large amount of people have come to love Star Wars games. We have had some tremendous Star Wars games in the past, and as we look to the future, we can see many more promising Star Wars titles on the horizon. Star Wars: 1313 is just around the corner, and it will require much work. And that is not the end. There will be more Star Wars games in the future. WP:VG needs to be there to address their needs on Wookieepedia. However, a WookieeProject is nothing without its members. An impressive amount of work has been done by Corellian Premier. He has done a lot of work taking care of the little details in video game articles—many of which would otherwise have been forgotten—and he has also done a fine job of doing a lot of "inside work" of WP:VG. Olioster has also been doing a tremendous job of late. He has recently nominated an impressive amount of articles from Star Wars Galaxies. Even though the game has been offline for quite some time now, he keeps carrying on in his work. Congratulations, though, go to all of WP:VG's members. Without the members, WP:VG would be nothing. Together, the members of WP:VG have done a wondeful work on Wookieepedia. WookieeProject Video Games has done a great job over the past year. May it continue to do even better in the years to come. May the Force be with the gamers!

I'm wondering if you can help me out. I'm hoping to write a Wookieepedia NewsNet post this week on Comprehensive articles. It'll probably end up looking similar to this one. I want to give the gist of what CAs are, and include the thoughts of some users who are pretty involved in the CA writing process. Would I be able to get your thoughts? I'd ask you two simple questions, and then work your answers into the prose rather than listing them as bullet points. eg, '"Yeah, I'd definitely eat a CA for lunch," says ExiledJedi, a famed mattress tester.'

Hey, EJ, just a heads up - you have a canon name for the events of Act I for the Trooper class: the SpecForce Incident, as described by the [[SIS Director (3643 BBY)|SIS Director]] in Star Wars: The Old Republic 11: The Lost Suns, Part 5. Also, per Ngani Zho's comments in Part 2, both the Knight and Trooper classes definitively occur in 3643 BBY, as he states he has been in the Vesla system for ten years and he traveled there immediately after the Treaty in 3,653 BBY. In Part 1, Theron overhears a transmission stating that the "Mantellian Separatist Movement was dealt a blow last week" - and since everything else mentioned in the comic is a reference to the class stories, I'm fairly certain that means the trooper's mission to the Separatist stronghold. Also, the SIS Director mentions the SpecForce incident two or three weeks later. So, basically, reference Parts 2 and 5 of the Lost Suns for the date in Act I (see here.)
