Placement of Doctor Aphra: Unspeakable Rebel Superweapon

Hey! It's me again. I am sorry to bother you again, but I was rereading Doctor Aphra 33 and 34. It said that Chelli and Lona spent their first month away from home 19 years before the comic and they were away for at least 24 months. Yet, Doctor Aphra 32 still depicts Lona's death 18 years before the comic similar to how Doctor Aphra 2 depicts Chelli telling Korin that her mother had just died 18 years before the comic. As you know how I deducted that Doctor Aphra 2 must take place around 1 ABY, let's move on. So, as Doctor Aphra 2 and 32 both depicts Lona's death 18 years before the comic. That means that they take place in the same year. However, I think that Aphra 32 and 33 are indirectly stating that they have moved forward a year. You see, if they spent their first month away from home 19 years before the comic, and they stayed at least 24 months (the comics showed flashback sequences of their stay on the planet until 24 months), then wouldn't that mean Doctor Aphra 33-36 took place in 2 ABY? I am sorry, I did not mean to sound rude. Hope you are having a good day.--76.188.144.146 (talk) 21:29, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

  • I hope that it would be fine if I said that Doctor Aphra 32 took place in 1 ABY and Doctor Aphra 33-36 took place in 2 ABY.--76.188.144.146 (talk) 23:51, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

Confusing matters

Happy New Year, DarthRuiz30! This is my first time leaving a message, so I hope I am doing it decently. First of all, I notice that this reference is getting moved on multiple pages regarding Doctor Aphra and Star Wars (2016). Can you look at it and see if I can improve it? Doctor Aphra 2 has a flashback sequence taken 18 years before the event of the story, in which Chelli Lona Aphra told her father that her mother had just died. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas states the the Galactic Empire was founded in 19 BBY. According to Doctor Aphra 32, Lona Aphra left the Second Moon of Thrinittik with Chelli when the Empire was existing and also stated that they lived on the planet for 2 years before Lona's death, which means that Lona had to die during or after 17 BBY. According to Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition, Vanden Willard died in 1 ABY. He had died in Star Wars 50. Doctor Aphra 2 took place between Star Wars 30, which takes place in about 0 ABY and Star Wars 50. It cannot have taken place in 0 ABY, as Lona would have died in 18 BBY. If the comic took place in 1 ABY, it would mean that Lona died in 17 BBY, fulfilling the above information. Therefore, this comic must have taken place around 1 ABY. Also, will you respond right here or somewhere else? I am sorry, I am new at this. Thank you in advance for your help.--76.188.144.146 (talk) 02:59, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

  • I left the message on your talk page.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:39, January 2, 2020 (UTC)
  • Thank you for the reply! I will keep that in mind. I would like to apologize for the speculation I added in November. I did not mean to ruin the wiki, only improve it. I will try to alter my ways in the future. Again, thank you very much!--76.188.144.146 (talk) 03:53, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

Howdy! I noticed that you took out my edit on the Jawa Trade Talk page about the mandalorian knowing the language, did I make a mistake? Thanks! --Jabot164 (talk) 22:50, November 17, 2019 (UTC)

Plagueis

Hey Ruiz, I was going to make a disambiguation page for anything related to Darth Plagueis, because there are so many pages associated with him and I got confused. But I wanted to ask you first. What do you think?--Doctor StarwarsTalk 21:25, November 7, 2019 (UTC)

Ah, okay. So a youmay. What about the book and the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis both canon and legends?--Doctor StarwarsTalk 21:40, November 7, 2019 (UTC)

Okay, I just added the youmays. Thank you.--Doctor StarwarsTalk 22:00, November 7, 2019 (UTC)

List of moons

Hey, I wanted to make a list of moons just like there's a list of planets. However, I wanted to include references for every single moon and now I'm wondering if it's better to put a normal reference behind every moon's name or to give sources their own column and maybe tell their whole name (or put thr normal reference in there). CanePlayz (talk) 08:00, November 8, 2019 (UTC)

Hey Ruiz, this person has been vandalizing constantly. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/198.241.62.141 --Doctor StarwarsTalk 20:25, November 8, 2019 (UTC)

Okay, thx!--Doctor StarwarsTalk 14:48, November 9, 2019 (UTC)

Re:Re:List of moons

Hey, but what is going on with category:moons? It's not really showing many moons...and as far as I understand it it is supposed to show all moons since it should be as good as a potential list of moons.CanePlayz (talk) 21:47, November 10, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer again, but why does the category seperate all of the moons by its planet? I mean it makes sense to have those categories but having a category moon and a category moon of x would be at least something to get an overview on the moons.CanePlayz (talk) 22:30, November 10, 2019 (UTC)

Rodian tag

Hey DarthRuiz. I saw the tag you added to Unidentified Rodian (Razor Crest), and I wasn't sure exactly why? The article refers to a character that appears on-screen in the first episode of The Mandalorian (at exactly the 9:24 mark). The tag says the article does not have an "Appearances or Sources" section, but it does: both an "Appearances" section and a "Notes and references" section. Is there a policy-based reason this article is inappropriate? — Hunter Kahn 19:20, November 12, 2019 (UTC)

  • I've been out of the Wookiepedia-editing game for a little while, but unless I'm mistaken or there's some sort of policy that's been added or changed since I've been gone, this is a comprehensive encyclopedia and articles even for background characters like this are both allowed and appropriate. In the past when I've worked articles up to FA, GA, or CA status, they weren't allowed to pass until I created articles (to eliminate redlinks) about minor characters/places/things/etc. with no bigger part that this Rodian. Unless you can direct me to that policy, I think the tag should be removed. — Hunter Kahn 19:40, November 12, 2019 (UTC)
    • I've reviewed the notability policy and I don't see any basis for this article being inappropriate or warranting deletion. If you can direct me to any language there that I'm missing, or some other policy that you think supports the deletion, I'll abide by it. Otherwise, I intend to remove the tag. — Hunter Kahn 19:54, November 12, 2019 (UTC)
      • That's fine, if it goes to TC that's a fine place to resolve the issue, and I'll obviously abide by whatever is decided there. Thanks. — Hunter Kahn 20:12, November 12, 2019 (UTC)

Clarification

Regarding my deleted contribution to the OOM-series battle droid article, it was my understanding that many canon articles describe the origin of subjects that were first introduced in Legends. In fact, I've double-checked, and this does appear to be the case. Would you please then explain the edit reversion? --Bluerock (talk) 22:59, December 13, 2019 (UTC)

Thank you, your edit comment didn't make it too clear what the specific issue was. I will move the "mistake" aspect to the Legends article, to explain what got carried over to canon, and merely mention the Legends origin on the canon article. --Bluerock (talk) 23:08, December 13, 2019 (UTC)

I appreciate the Y-45 article, if you wanna know my source its from Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal destroys it(The AT-ST the Y-45 drops off), but i wasn't sure where it would be fit to put his name there, plus it was sent to deal with Saw who was attempting to rescue wookie slaves. --~prequelmemesPrequelmeme66 (talk)

Ahsoka Tano

Ashley Eckstein is credited as Ahsoka Tano in The Rise of Skywalker alongside Hayden Christensen, Olivia d'Abo, Jennifer Hale, Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Frank Oz, Angelique Perrin, Freddie Prinze Jr, and Liam Neeson, all playing force ghosts. Here's a picture of the end credits. She can be heard in Sidious's death scene. This confirms Ahsoka's death in or prior to 35 ABY. --Potsk (talk) 22:15, December 20, 2019 (UTC)

RE:Free Worlds Fleet

Hey Ruiz, I made this article from a redlink in a rush once the spoiler ban lifted. I meant to add the conjecture template while I looked to confirm the name but I got too busy with everything else. I finally looked and I didn't find the name anywhere, so I'm changing it to allied fleet since that's a more suitable name. My apologies for creating this article in a rush.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:17, December 24, 2019 (UTC)

Explanation

The book clearly states that some of Threepio's components were built 148 years ago, and the story of IX is set in 35 ABY. Then, that's 112 BBY. I didn't add any speculation. ---- X9 The Android (talk) 02:13, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

Sorry

Hi DarthRuiz30,

I'm sorry for my previous reply to Lewisr. I didn't write it with intentions to be rude (and I know that's not the way we do it here, aside that I didn't use swear words), but I became annoyed for correcting me when I clearly stated in the Unidentified Tatooine elder page why it was 35 ABY. I know which my mistakes are, but I will correct them myself if that's the case.

Fortnite X Star Wars

So... I gave an actual, official source for the article second time around. Why exactly was it reverted that time? DFaceG (talk) 03:44, January 5, 2020 (UTC)

  • Alright, glad we cleared that up. I am curious, though - why doesn't the Fortnite X Star Wars event count as a non-canon appearance/mention for the characters in it? They explicitly have costumes and mentions based on the characters, and Palpatine even has a line entirely exclusive to the event.DFaceG (talk) 03:51, January 5, 2020 (UTC)

  • See other images like this one, all images have the template {{Information}}, copy paste that template and fill all the spaces for the template. When you upload an image always use this page, this will make you enter all the information necessary--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:30, January 8, 2020 (UTC)

Already uploaded on Special:Upload. Template doesnt show

Ive already filled out the template for the image when I uploaded it to special:upload but when I search the page for the image it doesn't show the template. Isn't it supposed to also automatically add the template to the upload it you put it on special:upload? I'm so confused. Why does the system have to be so inconvenient? I lost as hell and all I want to do is add a freakin picture for Christ's sake.

  • Since the images are already uploaded you need to go to the actual file and paste the template and fill it there. Filling the template from Special:Upload won't work. That's why the only accepted method for uploading is Special:Upload because verything is asked there.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:50, January 8, 2020 (UTC)

SWTOR pages

I noticed that some SWTOR pages show one ending like a death of a character that is determined by the player's choice, the collapse of the Eternal Empire and etc.; and was wondering if there was a way to do so without confusing other users. I assume saying the player, they and etc. isn't an option, but what of some other way to do so besides a Behind the scenes section.

I noticed the Canon and Legends pages, and was wondering why that is? On some/maybe most pages, there isn't a lot of information on the Canon page and maybe they could be merged together, so there's only one page with information from both. It would eliminate the back and forth and maybe some confusion. Plus the information on the pages are very repetitive and say many of the same things anyways. Andrewh7 (talk) 09:17, January 9, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7

RE:Warning

Which one is that? I didn't add a reference because I didn't know what the reference coding/naming this was. Do you mean The Barsen'thor? Isn't that page for the Jedi Consular Commander? It has all the information that pertains to them anyways. Andrewh7 (talk) 03:55, January 13, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7

In KOTFE and KOTET, aren't the Barsen'thor and the Commander the same person if you're playing a Jedi Consular unless there's a second Barsen'thor I'm unaware of? Same with Darth Nox and the Outlander if your character is a Sith Inquisitor? Andrewh7 (talk) 04:36, January 13, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7
But not every class can wield Force lightning, only the Sith Inquisitor (Darth Nox) can wield Force lightning though. Jedis, Sith Warriors, Troopers and etc. can't use Force lightning. Andrewh7 (talk) 04:56, January 13, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7
The confusing thing about The Barsen'thor page is that everything on the page pertains to our Jedi Consular character, but it says male for gender and you keep saying there's another one mentioned. I doubt all the things that happened to our character happened to another Barsen'thor and another Jedi Consular was named Barsen'thor. Is it possible to have another page for our Barsen'thor character to be created or is this it? Andrewh7 (talk) 03:57, January 15, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7

Jedi-List

Hey, I am interested in a Jedi-list in the wiki. But I know you admins are against lists here because they often become poorly maintained and sourced. But I do know for a fact that I would maintain it well (because that's in my own interest) and would source every single cell in the table. And a list naturally brings some advantages over the category site: canon-legeneds-difference, more details with a quick look and in general better visuals. If you're against this, maybe we could make a Jedi-list on the Jedi-page like it's done with Senators? CanePlayz (talk) 16:25, January 13, 2020 (UTC)

  • Oh, sorry for the spam. I actually thought Lewis was an admin (his edits and messages just made me feel like that) and I kinda misunderstood his message. That's why I ended up messaging 4 admins (+2 before all of that). CanePlayz (talk) 06:58, January 14, 2020 (UTC)

Ideas

I have some ideas to run by you that could very well improve the efficiency of the wiki. The wiki could use a BackToTop button in the toolbar so users don't have to scroll all the way up and some pages may take way longer than others to scroll through. What if the characters' infoboxes had family member sections? If you wanted to know who each character was related to and/or be able to easily access their page rather than look it up, then it would be right there for users to see, learn and enjoy. Force Collector

Hey, being an admin of Wookiepedia, and since I have had a past of mistakes leading to me getting blocked. I thought it appropriate to ask you first if we could create a character page. In the Force Collector novel 2019 Kar Naq Sin touched the Grand Inquisitor's broken lightsaber and saw his great grandfather Naq Med fight him in the vision but we also read the he saw the Grand inquisitor fight and kill another jedi, since it was psychometry we can confirm that it actually took place in the past. I was wondering since it cannot be confirmed as any of the other Jedi like Uvell for example can we make an article and add that unidentified Jedi to the Order 66 and Jedi Purge survivors list on the articles?.yukaimaster (talk) 11:35, January 16, 2020 (UTC)

  • I only recall the vision of him fighting Karr's grandfather. Even if there was another, can you 100% say it wasn't Mususiel, Zubain Ankonori, Khandra, or Nuhj? If your answer is no, then I would advise against making a page --Lewisr (talk) 17:52, January 16, 2020 (UTC)

Byllura

I've read your message concerning the edit to a page about Byllura. However, looking at a CW map that can be found in The Essential Atlas, you can actually see that this planet, albeit misspelled, was located within Separatist space. This claim is further reinforced by the grid coordinates appearing in said page (M-17) which coincide with those observable in the aforementioned map. Maybe I didn't edit it correctly because I still lack some knowledge when it comes to the whole editing process but, as for the planet itself, I'm pretty sure it was affiliated with the Separatist Alliance at one point during the Clone Wars. Thanks for the advice btw, I'll try to do better next time --Tjfile (talk) 11:13, January 23, 2020 (UTC)

Advice on a possible source

Can we use articles from the Fantasy Flight Games website as sources? (The specific article that inspired me to ask is one titled “New Models”, but that’s not really important). While we do have a canon Davin Felth page, which would imply the can be used for wiki pages, it’s possible the Felth page just “slipped through the cracks” so to say.--Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:19, January 23, 2020 (UTC)

  • It is from October 2019 and is for Star Wars: Legion expansions. So it is canon. Should I move the links to FFG articles into the sources section of articles?--Editoronthewiki (talk) 00:34, January 24, 2020 (UTC)
    • It seems to be that way. For example, “No matter how large their numerical advantage, the ranks of your B1 Battle Droids will inevitably thin, making it more difficult for them to coordinate with each other. In those cases, the battle droids’ natural AI will kick in, forcing them to immediately attack after activating”--Editoronthewiki (talk) 00:56, January 24, 2020 (UTC)
      • I would argue it is written in such as way as that it can be used as canon lore in addition to gameplay.--Editoronthewiki (talk) 01:09, January 24, 2020 (UTC)
        • I plan on opening a senate hall forum about this. (also, about another question I had, both Davin Felth and B2-ACM Trooper put FFG articles under sources and not external links, but those maybe errors or something)--Editoronthewiki (talk) 22:59, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

Galaxy of Heroes canonicity

Hey, so I've seen several articles in which Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is placed under canon appearances, while in other articles the game is placed under non-canon appearances. Since the article describes the game as non-canon but usable as a canon source (like Disney Infinity) then should all appearances in GOH be categorized as non-canon?--ChrisGraslie (talk) 00:17, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

Hi Darth Ruiz, could you please move Analysis (Galactic Empire) to Analysis for the CA nomination, as per the naming policy. I've already moved the previous Alliance Intelligence content from Analysis to Analysis (Alliance Intelligence). Kind regards Tomotron Revanchist Sith (talk) 08:19, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

  • Never mind, it was done by Imperators II. Tomotron Revanchist Sith (talk) 10:26, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

MC85

Hey I wanted to be sure we are on the same page as to where the MC85 was seen, this is a breakdown with the image from Bucket's list showing several, this one shot in particular in the top right (zoomed in on a picture in the thread) - https://twitter.com/AdmiralNick22/status/1221961308121096192 JohnWilliamsMovies (talk)

The Hand merge

Hey DarthRuiz. Seeing you were the one who brought this to light, can you do the merge of The Hand (Sith Empire) into the Emperor's Hand? I've merged the main content but talk page and fluff should only be handled by an admin. Thanks. Winterz (talk) 19:29, January 30, 2020 (UTC)

Strikethrough

Much apologies regarding putting strike through on the objections. I'm still getting used to this nomination process, so I was confused was to why strikethroughs were on other nominations. Thanks much for letting me know. I've gone ahead and added the Equipment section like you asked, and updated the Behind the Scenes reference with the link Toqgers suggested. No strikethrough this time too. Let me know if anything needs to be adjusted on either. (Side note, I've been working with Shayanomer to try and reference the 34 ABY issue correctly, it's not quite done yet but it was something he suggested be fixed as well). :) DFaceG (talk) 15:15, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

7.3 Warning

dude not speculation i have seen multiple episodes with references to multiple tv show including bsg and star trek. and i have watched every episode of bsg startrek and clone wars minus season seven that has not been released the wookieepedia is a public fandom not your sole property my edits are just as valid as yours further more that line was trademarked and copyrighted by the creators and companies that produced battlestar galatica and the producers and writing department had to get permission to use that line in the tv show as well as the likeness of the droid gunships to cylon radiers

  • As I said, you need a source citing everything you're saying. In which BTS material is all that explained? Who said that the droid gunships were made based on cylon raiders? Source is needed--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:22, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

my blond second cousin that had a leading roll on bsg and a roll in clone wars season 4 episode 14 as well as season 5 episodes 14-16. also starwars rebels: heroes of mandalore. --Kit.haberman (talk) 07:46, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

  • You still need a valid source.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:51, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

what would be considred a valid source i would rather not have to include my second cousin any further if you get my meaning.--Kit.haberman (talk) 08:00, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

  • Even if you wanted, that's not a valid source unless there's evidence of what you're saying. You need an official source that confirms that information. SW.com article, SW Insider article, Interviews with the crew in official or reliable sites, etc. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 08:17, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

Lightsaber Combat

what about my edit was unvaried?

For your information, i got all that info from the Canon pages of those Lightsaber forms (GoldenOath20 (talk) 06:12, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

WAS the information incorrect?(GoldenOath20 (talk) 07:27, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

If it's not confirmed true, then why is it on the pages of the seven forms? Why hasn't it been deleted already? (GoldenOath20 (talk) 07:53, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

So just to clarify... If I re do the edit and add references, which I could probably just copy and paste from the seven forms canon pages sinse it's the same information anyway, then the edit would remain.

Is that accurate? (GoldenOath20 (talk) 08:02, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

Firstly, you can stop using bullet point. You can just type without it being a subsection, or whatever the term is.

Secondly, you already said it doesn't matter if the information is true of not as long there is a source reference. So what difference does it make.

There's already a page using that ref to validate information. What difference does it make if someone uses those same refs to validate the same information on a different page? (GoldenOath20 (talk) 08:15, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

First of all, look at the messages you sent me earlier. You'll see that you wrote that it doesn't matter if the information is true or not, as long as it has a credible source.

Secondly, you are a wiki admin. It is literally your job to keep track of edits and get rid of bad ones. If there's information on a page that you haven't deleted, then as far as the wiki is concerned, the information is true. The same applies to the credibility of any references.

My point is that I wouldn't be falsifying a ref by copy and pasting a ref that you and you're fellow admins didn't get rid of, as long as I apply that copied ref to the same information.

(GoldenOath20 (talk) 08:31, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

I can look up the source used by the reference.(GoldenOath20 (talk) 08:40, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

Why do i need to be able to verify the info. Isn't that your job. (GoldenOath20 (talk) 09:15, February 3, 2020 (UTC))

The Eternal Alliance joining the Republic?

Hi it's user Shadowbringer2019 here

Sorry to bother you but I received your message, a bit late: "Also, all SWTOR articles are written as if the Eternal Alliance joined the Republic. That means that the Sith Empire lost Acina on Iokath and that there's no Eternal Alliance liaison.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 10:27, February 2, 2020 (UTC)".

So I wanted to know why are we assuming that the Eternal Alliance joined the Republic isn't the Empire story canon as well?

Thanks

Stop and Found source

Stop giving me a cease and desist warning to me. It's difficult finding valuable sources while making the page lastly here is the source where Cristina Valenzuela confirmed she voiced Z0-0M: https://twitter.com/cristinavee/status/773417314704384000?lang=en--Doofenshmirtz95 (talk) 22:26, February 7, 2020 (UTC)

"Per our Layout Guide for OOU articles. We don't need actors/actresses full biography only about their Star Wars work"
Your a complete hypocrite, why list ONLY about their Star Wars work if some of the other actors/actresses also have their full biography of their non-Star Wars work?--Doofenshmirtz95 (talk) 22:30, February 7, 2020 (UTC)

Cliegg Lars' grave

The article for Chapter 8: Redemption lists Kuiil in its appearances as (grave), even though he is mentioned elsewhere in the episode. Should this not also apply to Cliegg Lars and his grave in Darth Vader 1? RattsT (talk) 04:14, February 8, 2020 (UTC)
