- "The Republic boundary beyond the Mid Rim—that's imaginary and has been for years. The hyperspace lanes in the Slice that approach Hutt Space get a lot of pirate activity. There's a wide swath where it's gotten too dangerous to operate."
- ―A Regal Voyager steward
The Slice was an eastward region of the galaxy.[10] A colossal wedge-shaped fan of star systems, it stretched from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim Territories,[9] and consisted of the region between the Perlemian Trade Route and the Corellian Run super-hyperroutes.[11] It shared borders with the Interior westward, the New Territories northward, and the Trailing Sectors southward.[10] The Colonies planet Tholoth was located at the base of the Slice.[4] During the Republic Era, piracy was rampant in the Slice, leading corporations to relocate from the region. Combined with the Jedi Order closing a number of Jedi outposts in the Slice, the region became even less secure.[9] By 33 BBY,[12] five major pirate gangs operated in the Slice: the Filthy Credits, the Poisoned Blades, the Riftwalkers, the Staved Skulls, and the Vile.[9]

- ↑ According to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, Eroudac is intersected by an imaginary line connecting Rodia and Corellia and is closer to the former than the latter. Star Wars: The Galactic Explorer's Guide establishes that such a line passes through the boundary of the the Interior, which contains Corellia, and the Slice, in which Rodia is located. Since that boundary lies closer to Corellia than Rodia, Eroudac must therefore be situated in the Slice.
