[Tianris Mez and others laugh] - ―Mae-ho Aniseya confronts Indara
Tianris Mez was a Clarodian who supervised a deep-mantle mining operation on the planet Ueda with his brother Guanlos Mez during the High Republic Era. In 132 BBY, Tianris was looking to soon retire, but did not think Guanlos was ready for the responsibility.
That year, the pair visited the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda, and Tianris sat with Jedi Master Indara and several locals in the back corner. When the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya approached and demanded that Indara attack her, Tianris laughed, but when the Jedi declined, the assassin attacked Tianris's friend Ohal Alond. Tianris tried to intervene, but Aniseya knocked him out by smashing his head into the table. She then killed Indara.

Tianris Mez grunts as he is knocked out by Mae-ho Aniseya
Tianris Mez was sat with Indara when Mae-ho Aniseya confronted her.
Tianris Mez was a Clarodian who supervised an old family deep-mantle mining operation in the Eastern Wilderness of the planet Ueda with his younger brother, Guanlos Mez, during the High Republic Era.[1] In 132 BBY,[3] Tianris was looking to soon retire and often asked Indara, a Jedi Master posted on Ueda, for advice and wisdom.[1] That year,[3] both Tianris and Guanlos visited[2] the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda, the capital city of Ueda.[1]
While Guanlos spent time at the bar, Tianris sat with Indara,[2] his friend[4] Ohal Alond, and two other locals, Lobereki and Dyn Pilga,[1] at a table in the back corner of the building.[4] While the group dined, the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya approached the table and addressed Indara, claiming they had unfinished business. When the assassin lowered herself into a fighting stance and demanded the Jedi attack her, there was a moment of silence, and then Tianris began loudly laughing. The other three locals joined in, but Indara silenced them with a motion of her hand and declined to fight Aniseya, stating that Jedi did not attack the unarmed.[2]
Tianris Mez tried to intervene when Mae-ho Aniseya attacked his friend Ohal Alond.
Angered, Aniseya kicked Alond's chair out from underneath[2] him[1] and kicked him in the face. Tianris tried to intervene on behalf of his friend and grabbed Aniseya's shoulder, but she twisted him onto his knees and punched his head back before slamming it down into the table,[2] knocking him out.[4] Aniseya defeated Lobereki and Pilga as well before killing Indara. The Jedi Order then investigated the incident.[2]
Personality and traits
Although he wished to retire, Tianris Mez did not think Guanlos was ready for the responsibility of managing their mining operation on his own. Tianris had black eyes and skin in shades of green, purple, red, and tan.[1]
Equipment
While at the noodle shop, Tianris wore a simple green spun-moss cloak with a brown and red tabard, brown gloves, a brown belt, and black pants.[1]
Behind the scenes
Tianris Mez first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[5] Prior to the release of the episode, Mez was revealed in a trailer exclusively shown at Celebration Europe[6] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[7] The scenes in the shop were filmed at Shinfield Studios,[8] England.[9] He was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
