- "Everyone! There's been an accident in hyperspace. You must find shelter from the debris!"
- ―Stellan Gios
The Ta'klah system was a star system in the Outer Rim Territories that contained the astronomical object Ta'klah. In 232 BBY, Jedi Master Stellan Gios helped the people of Ta'klah when debris from the Great Hyperspace Disaster impacted it. After, residents of Ta'klah resettled on the planet Banchii.
Description
The Ta'klah system was a star system in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and Western Reaches[2] that contained the terrestrial astronomical object Ta'klah.[3] It was part of the Jjannex sector and lay in grid square L-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
History
- "Thank you, Master…"
"Gios. Stellan Gios. But please, call me Stellan. Don't worry, we'll take it from here. Now, hurry! And stay inside!" - ―A Ta'klah resident and Stellan Gios
Ta'klah is struck by debris from an emergence.
In the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace Disaster[3] in 232 BBY,[4] one of a series of debris fallout incidents known as the Emergences appeared above Ta'klah. As debris began to fall on a settlement on Ta'klah, its residents began to panic. Multiple Jedi Vectors arrived above the settlement, and Jedi Master Stellan Gios leapt from[3] his[5] to assist a child, who he picked up before using the Force to shield them from debris. Gios then assured the people of Ta'klah that help was coming and ordered them to take shelter. When one resident thanked Gios, he reassured them and again urged them to take shelter.[3]
As a result of the disaster, flames engulfed the settlement and destroyed it. After, at least some of Ta'klah's inhabitants were relocated to[3] the Jjannex sector[5] planet Banchii. The final group of settlers, among which were the farmer Kooba and the Nihil spy Zaret, was taken to Banchii aboard a Jedi transportation ship by Jedi Master Arkoff and Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi.[3]
Inhabitants
- "The Jedi are here!"
- ―An inhabitant of Ta'klah
Before the Great Hyperspace Disaster, humans, including Kooba, inhabited Ta'klah. Its residents spoke Galactic Basic Standard.[1]
