Jedi transportation ship

The Jedi transportation ship was a^[2] type of shuttle^[1] used by the Jedi Order.^[2] In the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace Disaster^[3] in 232 BBY,^[4] Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi and Jedi Master Arkoff used a Jedi transportation ship to help transport refugees to the Outer Rim planet Banchii.^[3] Later, Tora-Asi and the younglings Nima Allets and Viv'Nia Nia'Viv used the ship to travel to and from the Starlight Beacon space station.^[2]

Behind the scenes

The Jedi transportation ship first appeared, albeit unidentified, in the first volume of the Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance manga series, written by Shima Shinya and Justina Ireland with art by Mizuki Sakakibara and published in 2021.^[3] It was later identified in the second volume of the series, which was written by Shinya and Daniel José Older with art by Sakakibara and published in 2022.^[2] Both volumes were published by Viz Media as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.^[5]
