Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[3] a skirmish was fought on the planet Hynestia between members of the Starros Clan and the Galactic Empire. After Thea Starros,[1] the matriarch of the Starros Clan,[4] had been captured by Marl Jibs, who had led the Starros Clan to believe he was attempting to collect a bounty on Mevera Starros, though in reality there was no bounty and it was a plan devised by her nephew, the Imperial officer Phel Starros, after he learned his aunt was working with the Soikans.[1]
As they made their way to Hynestia, Thea's relatives Sana Starros, Mevera, and Deva Lompop, spoke about why there would be a bounty out for Mevera. After Lompop stated that the situation felt out and reached out to a Soikan contact of her's, she confirmed to the two Starroses that there was no bounty on Mevera by them, and they deduced it was likely a trap. Once they arrived at Hynestia, the trio made their way to the former Jedi temple on the planet that had been turned into a bar, where Jibs was waiting with Thea. Jibs demanded they turn over Mevera, though Sana informed Jibs that they knew there was no bounty for her and that it was a set up. Jibs confirmed it was the case, and revealed he had only been a distraction, and a Besalisk arrived with Imperial troopers, two snowtroopers and a flametrooper. The troopers opened fire on the Starroses and Mevera was hit by a blast, and was injured, whilst Sana and Lompop hid behind a bar. The Shani took a bottle of Durga berry schnapp and drank it, to the anger of Sana whilst they were in such a dangerous siutation.[1]
Lompop then shot at the troopers, providing cover frie for Sana as she attempted to recover her aunt and grammy, though as she arrived at a ship they were taken to, she was confronted by her twin Phel and two snowtroopers, who threatened to have her killed if she took another step. Sana then killed the two troopers, and after she questioned Phel as to why he had turned on his family, he responded that why would he need his family when he could have everything, as he charged at Sana, who blocked his attack. Sana informed her brother that he had been too slow and that he gotten weak, and she punched him in the chest. In response, Phel stated he preferred to not work harder but smarter, and then told his sister that he felt he should have destroyed her when they were both in the womb[1] of their mother Jorinda,[5] which hurt Sana. Phel then fired on his sister, but she was saved by Lompop, who took the blast in her side. Phel recognizing his aunt, stated that the situation was about her, which she dismissed as she was family.[1]
Phel then stated that whilst he would love to catch up with her, he had places to be, and left for the ship with Thea and Mevera. Sana tried to go after her brother, but Lompop told her to let him go, and after Sana questioned why they should let him go, Lompop informed her that they now had a plan. As Lompop prepared to eat one of the snowtroopers, Sana stated that they needed help, and that she would cash in some favors. Lompop then told Sana to contact Lanitra,[1] a Pantoran criminal who worked for Lompop and who the two had recently done a job with,[6] and to tell her they were going after big game. As Sana walked away, she stated that Phel would not know what had hit him.[1]
After they arrived on the King's Ransom,[1] a Raider-class corvette owned by Imperial Captain Cerasus Ehllo,[5] Thea and Mevera were reunited with the latter's daughter, Aryssha, who they had not seen since she was retrieved by Ehllo, her husband. As the three discussed escaping, Aryssha revealed to her mother and grandmother that her waters had broke and that she was about to give birth to her babies.[1]

- ↑ 3.0 3.1 The events of Star Wars: Sana Starros take place between those of issue 31 and issue 38 of the 2020 Star Wars: Doctor Aphra comic-book series. Issue 31 is also set after Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters crossover event, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 3 ABY, while issue 38 is a part of the Star Wars: Dark Droids crossover event, which is followed by the events of issue 43 of the 2020 Star Wars series. Furthermore, the flashbacks of issue 50 of the Star Wars series—which follow the events of issue 43—take place approximately twenty-two years after Sheev Palpatine's ascension to the title of Galactic Emperor. Since Timelines dates that event to 19 BBY, the flashbacks must occur around 3 ABY and the events of Sana Starros must therefore also take place around the latter year.
