Rohm was an agriworld in the Mid Rim Territories' Hevvrol sector that was inhabited by farmers. In 397 BBY, the Force-sensitive human Rooper Nitani was born on Rohm before eventually being taken to the Core Worlds planet Coruscant by the Jedi Order for training.
Description
Rohm was a terrestrial agricultural planet[4] located in the Hevvrol sector's Rohm system in the Mid Rim Territories[3] and the Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square O-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]
History
Rooper Nitani hailed from Rohm.
By the time of the High Republic Era, the agriworld was inhabited by farmers who used colorful inks to paint intricate patterns on their cheeks.[4] In 397 BBY,[5] the Force-sensitive human female Rooper Nitani was born on Rohm and lived there during her early years before eventually being taken to[4] the Core Worlds planet[6] Coruscant by the Jedi Order for training in the Force.[4]
In 382 BBY,[5] Nitani—by then a Jedi Padawan—contemplated the practice of her homeworld's inhabitants drawing patterns with colored inks on their faces, finding herself disinterested in the practice. She later thought about the uneventful life of Rohm's farmers, imagining that members of the Katikoot species—who hailed from the twin planets Gloam and Aubadas—may have once been similarly at peace. The Padawan also briefly considered what her life would be like if she had not joined the Jedi and instead stayed on Rohm.[4]
Behind the scenes
Rohm was first mentioned in the 2022 junior novel The High Republic: Quest for the Hidden City, written by George Mann for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[4] Phase II.[7]
