- "Is that a double gas giant?"
"Certainly looks like it. Since we're still in the Haileap system I'm guessing those are Nixus and Neralus." - ―Avon Starros and Vernestra Rwoh
Double planets were pairs of planets of approximately the same size and mass that orbited each other and together shared an orbit around that system's star or stars. The moon Cynda was almost large enough to be classified as a double planet with Gorse, which it orbited.[2] The gas giants Nixus and Neralus in the Haileap system were a true double planet. Although Nixus and Neralus were both orbited by their moon Wevo,[1] Eirie, the moon of the double planets Eiram and E'ronoh, instead hung suspended between them,[3] leaving the twin worlds' inhabitants unaware of which planet the moon may have originally orbited.[4]
