REBELIÓN: An Andor Zine also rendered as Rebelión: An Andor Zine is an official zine covering the behind-the-scenes of the Disney+ live-action television series Star Wars: Andor, created in celebration of the several Emmy Award nominations for Season Two of the series, in addition to crew and staff involved in the series' production.[9] Released in relation to the 'For Your Consideration' (FYC) campaign for the series,[10] it was announced as available for purchase for a limited time in select bookstores in Los Angeles, California on August 17 2025.[7][11] A digital version of the zine was released, via Disney Debut on the same day[8] and an official digital version was made available for download through a StarWars.com article, published on August 20, 2025.[4]
Background and release
The zine was created in celebration of Star Wars: Andor's production staff and crew, in addition to the award nominations it's second season had received for the Primetime Emmy Awards and Daytime Emmy Awards,[9][7] as apart of the series's FYC campaign.[10]
Events
On August 15, 2025,[4] the creator of Andor Tony Gilroy attended a launch event of the zine to celebrate the fourteen Emmy Award nominations for the series[5] at the Kiosk-o-Thèque[6] newsstand located in Sunset Boulevard within West Hollywood, California and affilated with the 'Are We on Air' podcast.[12] Approximately two days later, on August 17, 2025, official announcements of the zine's release were provided online.[10][9][7] On the same day, Tony Gilroy, along with his brothers Dan Gilroy, who wrote three episodes in Season Two and John Gilroy, who served as executive producer and editor, also signed copies of the zine at another event hosted by Skylight Books from 8:30pm to 9:45pm,[13] after a American Cinematheque screening of the Andor Season Two episode, "Welcome to the Rebellion", in the Los Felix Theatre featuring a Q&A session[14] moderated by Variety's Clayton Davis.[15][16] Direct weblinks to the digital version of the zine released on Disney Debut that day in the PDF format, were listed within several LinkedIn and Facebook posts, as well as profile bios on Threads[17][18] of the official accounts belonging to several of the Lucasfilm companies, such as Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound on August 19, 2025.[19][20][21][22]
