Palmo Plaza,[3] also known as the Ghorman Plaza,[4] was a central[5] open space in the city of Palmo on the planet Ghorman. In the middle of the plaza stood the Monument to the Fallen, a memorial to the victims of the Tarkin Massacre.[1] In 2 BBY, the Ghorman Massacre occurred in the plaza when hundreds of Ghorman people assembled to protest the occupying Galactic Empire's tyranny. As the shooting began, Imperial stormtroopers fired on civilians, and members of the rebel Ghorman Front attempted to fight back. Hundreds were killed during the event, which the Empire orchestrated in order to arrange their takeover of the planet.[2]
Description
Composition
Palmo Plaza was a plaza located in Palmo, the capital of the planet Ghorman. The plaza was located in the center of the city, and was a spot for both gatherings and protest for many Ghormans living in the city.
Monument to the Fallen
Situated in the center or the plaza, the Monument to the Fallen was a monument dedicated to those crushed and killed in the Tarkin Massacre, an event in which grand moff Tarkin attempted to land his cruiser in that very spot, ignoring the Ghorman people protesting the Galactic Empire beneath it.
The monument was a common spot used by members of the Ghorman Front to spread awareness to the tyranny of the empire and sway people to their cause.

- ―Thela, showing Cassian Andor his room in the hotel
Built into Palmo Plaza, the Palmo Plaza hotel was an upscale hotel for those visiting Ghorman. Cassian Andor stayed at this hotel multiple times under fake aliases while visiting Ghorman.[6][7]
Ghorman cafe

"West side. The columns by the cafhouse." - ―Cassian Andor and Wilmon Paak
the Ghorman Cafhouse was a cafhouse located in the west side of Palmo Plaza. Cassian Andor met with a member of the Ghorman Front at the cafhouse.[1]
Imperial office complex
The Imperial office complex was a office complex located partially within Palmo Plaza. By 3 BBY, The complex served as the administrative hub for the Galactic Empire on Ghorman during Dedra Meero's reign over the planet.[7][8]
The complex had offices dedicated to organizations within the Galactic Empire such as the Imperial Bureau of Standards, which had a office within the complex.[1]
South Steps
The South Steps were a set of stairs at the south side of the plaza that lead to the second floor of the plaza. During the Ghorman Massacre, a unit of stormtroopers were deployed at the steps that eventually opened fire on protesters.[8]
Behind the scenes

Palmo Plaza appeared in the second season of the live-action series Star Wars: Andor, first appearing in the season's forth episode, "Ever Been to Ghorman?," which was released on Disney+[1] on April 29, 2025.[9]
The plaza formed the largest set built for Andor at Pinewood Studios in England. According to executive producer Sanne Wohlenberg, it was designed with the development of the Imperial crackdown in mind, effectively making the plaza with "no way out" for the demonstrators during the Ghorman Massacre.[10]
