Quiet Shan was a human[2] female pirate who lived during the High Republic Era.[3] In 382 BBY,[4] she was Alak's prodigy and a member of a crew led by the pirate queen Maz Kanata.[3] Quiet Shan passed away long before[5] 229 BBY.[1]

Behind the scenes

The twentieth issue of the 2023 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures depicts Quiet Shan as alive and present on Eriadu after the end of the Nihil conflict.[6] This, however, conflicts with the novel The High Republic: Escape from Valo, which had previously established that Quiet Shan had died long before its events,[5] which take place in 229 BBY.[1]
