Outer Rim Expedition Two-Five-Two was a Republic Pathfinder team led by Jedi Master Rok Buran during the High Republic Era. Besides Buran, the team consisted of Padawan Maliq, Joneth, Branda, and the communications droid EX-8C. They operated out of the Pathfinder ship Foundling.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] the expedition was sent to the planet Aubadas in response to a request for assistance from the Katikoot species, who faced an energy crisis and wanted help setting up a new, sustainable power source after halting mining operations on Aubadas' twin planet, Gloam. Hearing legends of monsters in the mines of Gloam, the team decided to visit the planet to investigate. Their guide, Rillik, betrayed them and set them up to be ambushed by the monsters, with Buran the only survivor. Buran later retrieved EX-8C from the wreckage of the Foundling and sent the droid away to seek help.[1]
