The Nuon e Safyd sector was a sector in the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] In grid square P-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid it contained the Artom, Karee, Petrusia, and T'surr systems.[1] The Petrusia system contained[3] the planet[4] Petrusia, which was homeworld of the sentient Petrusian species.[3]
At some point between 19 BBY and 10 BBY,[5] the Galactic Empire sezied control of Petrusia and enslaved the Petrusians.[3] In 10 BBY,[5] the Petrusian resistance fighters Kristiss and her father Rythus led a group of formerly enslaved Petrusians they had helped liberate from an Imperial outpost on the[3] planet[6] Kullgroon back to Petrusia to rebuild it.[7]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Nuon e Safyd sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[8] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Daniel Wallace and Fry.[9] In 2012, the sector was illustrated on a map designed by Modi and published in the Online Companion feature "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region."[10]

Star Wars: Timelines dates Star Wars: Lando - Double or Nothing to 10 BBY, and thus the seizure of Petrusia must have taken place before 10 BBY. The Galactic Empire is stated to have been the ones to seize the planet, which Timelines dates the formation of to 19 BBY. Thus, the seizure of Petrusia must have taken place sometime between 19-10 BBY.
