- "There was a smuggler who traded arms with us shortly after the Empire seized control of Petrusia."
- ―Kristiss, to a fellow resistance fighter on Lando Calrissian and the seizure of Petrusia
Sometime between 19 BBY and 10 BBY,[1] the Galactic Empire seized control of[2] the planet[3] Petrusia. They enslaved several of the native Petrusian species at the Imperial outpost on[2] the planet[4] Kullgroon. Shortly after the event, the smuggler Lando Calrissian traded arms with the Petrusian resistance fighter Kristiss, and bypassed the Empire's defenses with ease.[2] In 10 BBY,[1] Kristiss explained her encounter with Calrissian to another member of her resistance group, mentioning the seizure of Petrusia, and citing that he may be able to smuggle the enslaved Petrusians from Kullgroon.[2] Shortly after, Calrissian snuck into the Imperial outpost, where he met Kristiss' father, Rythus. As Rythus and Kristiss argued about the smuggler's involvement in their liberation, Kristiss apologized on her father's behalf, claiming he was not used to Calrissian's personality. Calrissian remarked that Rythus preferred the personality that allowed his planet to be taken over.[3]
