The Majoor sector was a sector in the Expansion Region[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2] In grid square N-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid it contained the Ansillivog, Bimin Three, Drashima, Gorma, Ikon, Insta, Insta, M'haeli, Majoor, Morton, Neijaia, Ragith, and Ramordia systems.[1]
The Drashma system contained the location Drashima III, where senior applications engineer Jenra of the Galactic Empire discovered a type of toxic mushroom[3] by 13 BBY.[4] The Gorma system contained the location Gorma, which was liberated by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire.[5] The M'haeli system contained the agriworld M'haeli, where dragite gems were mined in the D'olop mountain range for use in lightsaber construction.[6] The Neijaia system was the origin point[7] of the Neijaian language.[8]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Majoor sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[9] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the third issue of the Star Wars: Droids comic book series, which was written by Dave Manak, illustrated by John Romita Sr., and published by Marvel Comics[10] on May 13, 1986[11] It was then identified for the first time in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry.[12]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Neijaian language in relation to Neijaia system.
