- "He tried to rape me."
- ―Bix Caleen, in regard to Krole's actions
Krole was a human individual who served as a lieutenant for the Galactic Empire.[2] In 4 BBY,[1] the lieutenant harassed the human Bix Caleen and later attempted to sexually assault her while overseeing audits on the planet Mina-Rau. In the process of trying to force himself on Caleen, Krole was killed by her in self-defense with a wrench.[2]
Biography
Back to Mina-Rau
Krole was deployed to the agriworld Mina-Rau with a mixed Imperial Army contingent to carry out an audit for the Imperial Supply Census, the first one on the planet in ten years. Krole commanded the ground inspection team, beginning their first audit at Council Five Hundred, where they caught an illegal worker without a visa who attempted to flee. They then moved on to the Mina-Rau General Store.[3]
Krole meets Bix Caleen at the silos.
Upon arriving at the store, Krole ordered his troops to inspect the building, while he wandered away into the nearby fields towards a mega silo. There, he encountered the human Bix Caleen, secretly another illegal worker, and struck up a conversation with her. Krole probed about her occupation and work history, musing about Council Six Hundred's new silos not being worth their cost. He reflected on Mina-Rau's peaceful lifestyle and asked if Caleen had ever been to the city Rau, flirting and asking if she would join him on his planned retirement there. Though Caleen informed him she had a husband, Krole continued to ask questions about him, revealing that the Empire had blocked all off-world communication for the audit process. Caleen's friend Brasso then arrived at the silo, interrupting Krole's attempted flirting and warding him off back to his contingent.[3]
Imperial inspection
Krole visited Caleen's house to coerce her.
Krole's unit returned the next day to carry out their official inspection of the General Store's district; Krole ordered Aneth to feed his troops and save two meals for himself and Corporal Pyke. Krole left Sergeant Stang in charge of the unit, then departed with Pyke in an armored landspeeder. The two arrived at Caleen and Brasso's mobil-haus, where Krole entered alone and found Caleen inside, seemingly in the middle of packing. Caleen claimed that she and the rest of her mechanic friends were leaving for a repair job at Eight Hundred Block. Krole entered the cabin, removed his kepi, styled his hair, and then revealed he knew Caleen was an illegal. Smirking, he snidely remarked he could help "fix" her undocumented status. He talked about always seeking ways to relax, how sore his shoulders were, and how strong Caleen's worker hands looked.[2]
Disturbed and realizing his true intentions, Caleen began to back away in fear, though Krole cornered her against the wall. As she begged him not to assault her, Krole asserted that it would be easy for her to comply. Caleen yelled at him and furiously punched him in the face, drawing blood from his nose and enraging him. She made a run for the door, but Krole grabbed her and attempted to pin her down on a table, violently grappling and pulling her hair in an effort to subdue her, before hurling Caleen into a wall and stunning her. Thinking her unconscious, Krole dragged Caleen towards the cabin's bedroom, though she managed to kick him away. He recovered and ran to grab her again, but she turned and smashed a wrench into the side of his head, badly wounding him.[2]
Krole was killed by Caleen after he assaulted her.
Stunned and confused, Krole tripped over and attempted to draw his blaster, but then charged at Caleen again, earning him a second blow to the jaw with the wrench. Krole's screams drew the attention of Pyke, who was in the speeder outside. As his companion approached the cabin with his blaster raised, Krole stumbled outside clutching his head. The lieutenant then lost his balance and smacked his temple onto a crate, finally killing him with his combined injuries.[2]
