This species was a sentient species that existed in the galaxy.[1]

Biology and appearance

This bipedal sentient species was distinguished by their pale pink or gray skin, large, boney heads, solid, dark blue eyes, and lack of visible mouths.[1]

Species in the galaxy

In 5 BBY,[2] a member of this species attended a party held at the Chandrilan Embassy hosted by Perrin and Mon Mothma on the planet Coruscant.[3] In 4 BBY, a member of this species was in attendance at the wedding ceremony of Leida Mothma and Stekan Sculdun at the Mothma Estate on the planet Chandrila.[4] In both 3[5] and 2 BBY, at least two members of this species could be found within the Imperial Senate Building on the planet Coruscant.[6] Much later, in 34 ABY,[7] yet another member of this species by the name of Letrun Pay was present at the Canto Casino in Canto Bight on Cantonica when the Resistance agents Finn and Rose Tico arrived searching for the Master Codebreaker.[1]

Letrun Pay's species first appeared in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson.[1] This species was designed by concept artist Ivan Manzella,[8] and were referred to by the production code "King 55D."[9] When asked if this species were actually one and the same with the similarly described Setaran species[10] featured in The High Republic: Path of Vengeance, written by Cavan Scott,[11] Keeper of the Holocron, Leland Chee, stated that he didn't want to presume Scott's intent,[10] but revealed that, as of April 1, 2025, this species still did not have a name within the official Holocron continuity database.[12] He did, however, say it was definitely something he'd want to put a pin into until they needed to come up with a definitive answer, weighing authorial intent against the possibility of not having to invent a new species name.[10]
