The freestanding subsectors was a term used to refer to unincorporated sectors and regions whose inclusion into the Galactic Republic or Galactic Empire was not yet ratified.[2] The Terrabe sector, which notably housed the moon of Jedha, was one of the freestanding subsectors.[1]
