Balosars were a near-human sentient species which possessed two antennapalps on the tops of their heads, but were otherwise similar in appearance to humans. They were native to the ruined world Balosar.
Biology and appearance
Balosars were a near-human sentient species native to[4] the Core Worlds[6] planet Balosar.[4] They were visually almost indistinguishable from humans except for two small sensory enhancing antennapalps[3] located between the hair on the tops of their heads near the front.[1] They were also immune to almost any toxins in the galaxy.[7]
Balosars in the galaxy
Shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars,[1] the Balosar Elan Sleazebaggano[8] attempted to sell the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi death sticks in the Outlander Club on the planet Coruscant, but the Jedi mind tricked the dealer into going home and rethinking his life. At around this time a male Balosar also served in the Jedi Order.[1]
Ven Alman was a Balosar pirate and a friend of fellow pirate Phee Genoa. He was killed in the early Imperial Era by Cellia Moten.[9] During the reign of the Galactic Empire on the planet Lothal, the street urchin Ezra Bridger spotted a Balosar woman wearing a shimmersilk scarf around her antennapalps, which he valued at least one thousand credits.[3]
BeeLee Amdas was a notorious Balosar thief who lived during the New Republic Era, before her human partner Ryn Biggleston killed her by poisoning her drink with one of the only few toxins deadly for Balosars. Biggleston later tried to have her visual appearance changed by the Frigosian cryptosurgeons Thromba and Laparo at Maz Kanata's castle on Takodana. After having found out that she intended to leave without paying them, the two surgeons instead changed her appearance to that of her partner Amdasz. Afterwards the pair contacted the local authorities and Biggleston was captured while trying to flee the planet on a transport.[7]
