The Voon system was a star system in the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior[2] that contained the astronomical object Voon.[3] It was part of the Krenher sector and lay in grid square K-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the High Republic Era, Voon was involved in a territorial dispute with[4] the astronomical object[3] Wor Tandell.[4] Around 383 BBY,[5] Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellors Kyong Greylark and Orlen Mollo argued over how to resolve the dispute, with Greylark wanting to tear up the agreement and Mollo wanting to repair the relationship.[4]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Voon system was first mentioned on a map created by Jason Fry and Christopher Ibbitt for Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo[3] and published on June 17, 2025.[6] It was identified as the Voon system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Fry.[7] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Voon system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[8]
