The Verinti system was a star system in the Vorzyd sector of the Outer Rim Territories that fell within grid square R-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the terrestrial astronomical object Verinti, which was the location of the homestead where the citizen Mav Gatta lived. While thirteen years old[2] in 3 ABY,[3] Gatta used survival techniques she had seen on the holodrama Troops to save the homestead from raiders and was granted a full scholarship to an Imperial Academy by the Galactic Empire as a reward.[2]

The Verinti system was mentioned in[1] the October 13, 2025[4] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both were written by Jason Fry.[5]
