Troops was a popular holodrama viewed by the citizen Mav Gatta.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] the thirteen-year-old Gatta used survival skills she had learned from watching the show to save her homestead from raiders, earning her a full scholarship to an Imperial Academy from the Galactic Empire. Troops was then mentioned by reporter Dorna Parros in coverage of Gatta's story on the HoloNet News later that week.[1]
Behind the scenes
Troops was mentioned in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws. It shares its name[1] with Kevin Rubio's 1997 fan film TROOPS, which depicts stormtroopers as parodies of the law enforcement officers featured in the television series COPS.[3]
