Holodramas^[1] (or holo dramas),^[2] also known as holomovies^[3] (or holo-movies)^[4] or simply referred to as holos,^[5] were a form of fiction entertainment created using holographic technology.

Holodramas often painted a romantic view of the planets of the Outer Rim Territories, depicting them as a source of adventures, new species of beings, strange landscapes and exciting outer space exploits on starships.^[6]
