Star Wars Missions

Phew! All 20 Star Wars Missions pages are now up. Along with pictures. Bed time...zzzzzzzzz

  • Oh man, that took me back. Hooray for nostalgia! I'm probably too young for nostalgia, though. But still! --ChristheGreat 05:58, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Episode I Adventures

Now all of the Episode I Adventures pages have been created. That took awhile... Pictures up on all thirty some pages, template made, and category organized. Time to take a break.

Out of town

I'll be out of town for a few days and away from a computer. Alas, that means I can not help on the site. Goodbye. --Xwing328 04:41, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • I'm back and have been doing more book pages and also started to move all of the List of diseases to the proper pages. I'm probably done for tonight. I already did A-E. Now just F-Z remain. --Xwing328 02:33, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • How ironic...I started working on the List of diseases, and the next morning I wake up sick. At least I have a bit of time at home to work on it now. --Xwing328 18:58, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)

[[:File:Pit-droid-award.png|thumb|I hereby award Xwing328 The Pit Droid Award of Diligence for his work on moving the disease pages and alot of other article creations. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:09, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)]]

  • You deserve something for that. Here's a Pit Droid Award. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:09, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks! That was a unexpected pleasant surprise. --Xwing328 21:47, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Diseases

  • is there a single source for all the diseases I'll be happy to source everything if it all comes from one source... ---Razzy1319 23:31, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • Most of it came from The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia, but each individual item has a different official source. I've gone to the encyclopedia and gotten a few of the sources, but it's time consuming. If you feel like sourcing the first ones, go ahead, and I can start sourcing the last ones. Kinda meet in the middle to save some effort. --Xwing328 23:44, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Lit Project

Let's create a project page and then put links in the discussion pages of Tales of the Jedi to it, so that we can draw users. Also, with a project page, we can begin to work on format for the project.--The Erl 22:18, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I'm studying for government right now, so I won't be able to start till later. If you put anything together for a project, let me know. Thanks! --Xwing328 22:38, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Template

Hey, that template of yours is nice. I'm gonna put it on me page, eh? --DarthCow--Talk| Email

  • Yeah, feel free to use it. Right now its stored at User:Xwing328/Template:User infobox --Xwing328 15:25, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
  • I'm stupid, I thought you meant the user box, not the Star Wars one. Sry 'bout that. --Xwing328 00:30, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Reckon I'd also like to copy your Texas template. D'ya mind? -BaronGrackle 04:53, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Life's been very busy and rather crazy recently, but hopefully I'll be back soon. Two girls from my school just died, so it'll be a while still. --Xwing328 22:05, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Re:Template

Hey Xwing! Nice to see another Texan on here- we seem to be a little outnumbered! Me and my wife just passed through your area an hour ago (expect some more rain, cause we hit it all the way to Houston). Glad you liked the template. I got it off another user's page. Since there is not a lot of us around, I'm expecially proud to see another Texan Bush supporter. I really want to try and use your Texas flag template, but I've had some trouble with it. I'll keep ya updated! LSUAdman 22:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Good template

How does the "good article" template differ from the featured article? --SparqMan 21:48, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

  • TO DO TOMORROW (after sleeping):
    1. Implement the new {{era}} with featured and good articles.
    2. Replace the tl|erasstar template that never worked.
    3. Figure out how to automatically do categories for featured and good. Night. --Xwing328(Talk) 06:19, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Nice work on the Good articles template. Is it possible to keep the tick the same size but make the area around it larger? If you have a look at the featured icon there is a nice amount of space between it and the other era icons. The good icon is a little bit squashed up next to them at the moment. --Eyrezer 00:05, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
    • THanks. I was about to do it now, but I see you've already gotten onto it. --Eyrezer 05:08, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Voting

Xwing3328 you might be interested in a proposed policy change known as Forum:Administrator Voting. It's on consensus track, but I thought it would be better to get more opinions. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 19:22, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Date Pages

I noticed you were making a bunch of pages that were just month names and a number, some people may call this a date but i dont see the point of it, so i ask: why are you doing this? Ugluk: Destroyer of Redlinks 23:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Stormtrooper

Should we nominate Stormtrooper as a featured article?--Herbsewell 23:30, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Two questions. When you say "the other articles out there", are you referring to the other featured articles? The other question is weather you will vote for it if I put it up?--Herbsewell 00:27, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Technical Journal 3 image

Just to let you know, I replaced the image of the cover with a new one which I think looks better. Feel free to revert it if you disagree. Green Tentacle (Talk) 20:12, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Hyperspace pics

Please stop uploading Hyperspace pictures. We try to avoid using them when there are less restricted alternatives available. The color versions of the Adventure Journal pics are Hyperspace-exclusive, so we're currently only using scans of the originals. Typo hunting

Thanks for handing out my first cookie ^_^ and also being a regular participant in the typo hunt. I feared that thread would die out on day one, but now it's got four, eh, five regular contributors. Enochf 23:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC) (ugh, but some of the typos are coming BACK FROM THE DEAD lately)

Soldier for the Empire scan

I'm still a bit naive on the intricacies of Wookieepedia, but when I clicked the link you provided and went to the e-mail screen, I did not see any switch to upload an image from my computer. Would it be better to just upload the image on Wookieepedia itself, and then have an administrator delete it after we're done? -BaronGrackle 17:07, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay, here we go. I tried to make it big enough so the words could be read, but not too big. Unfortunately, the scanner at this house has some issues—the text of some weird chainletter-style flier can be seen in the background of all my scanned images (look for "Fluffy"), so it may have to go anyway. -BaronGrackle 17:55, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
    • And apparently I don't know how to link images. It's at "File:DFback.JPG". -BaronGrackle 17:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you! Let me know how the template works out. --Xwing328(Talk) 23:14, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Works like a charm, however I am having problems with the customized version for the TNEGTC WookieeProject. The contents of the /to do subpage aren't being shown for some reason. tl|WNEGTCtodo --Imp 23:20, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
      • OK, I'm not entirely sure why you want a new template, but it should work now. It looks like you just deleted a bit of the code you needed. --Xwing328(Talk) 23:24, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
        • Perfect! Thanks! =) I explained the customization at the "Requesting template" forum thread. Thanks again! Brilliant! --Imp 23:26, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Nice droid

  • Not bad ^_^ would've been a godsend early on; it can't tell context, but most of the typos on the list don't need it anyway Enochf 07:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Yeah I know. I had tried to start it about when the Typo Hunt started, but I couldn't get it working until yesterday. --Xwing328(Talk) 16:11, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Eras

Uhm...are you sure it's not used with ships? I see no reason why it shouldn't be, and it's on Millenium Falcon, so.... .... 04:35, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Hmm, I got told a long time ago, when the eras template was first starting, not to do that. Maybe its changed. You can re-add it if you want. --Xwing328(Talk) 04:37, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Oh, sorry, I kinda expect responses on my talk page. But I see you've re-added it. I know I have to a few small ship articles...you know, ships that feature in the X-Wing games but don't really get much of a gurnsey. I think that they should have the eras thing...I don't see why not. .... 04:46, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
      • Haha...I can never decide where to reply. It's amazing how mad some people get when you reply on their pages and they don't want you to. I think they ships should have the eras template too, I just remember some admin telling me that. I tried to search for it, but I couldn't find it. Who knows... --Xwing328(Talk) 04:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
        • It's an illusion....Say, are you in charge of the Good Articles? If so, how'd you land a job like that? .... 05:03, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
          • Technically, no one is in charge of it, and anyone can take care of it. However, since I was one of the people who helped get it started, and I enjoy it, I usually end up taking care of it. --Xwing328(Talk) 05:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
            • Ah. Fair enough. .... 05:13, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Image

Ah...someone uploaded a questionably "better" version. Delete it if needs be. .... 23:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Oh, sorry ;). I don't mind, it's just that I reckon in the new image, his eyes are glazed over...it just isn't as good a facial expression. .... 00:00, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Insider image

It's fine where you have it. I was trying to see if it would work if moved down, but it messed up the article, so yeah it's cool that you reverted it. Adamwankenobi 00:22, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Lando image

  • That's fine. No big deal, though I wish it had been in the gallery of Lando images, so I would have known not to upload that new one. Thanks for the help anyway. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 15:43, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Carbon dioxide

Now as much as it is canon, I'm not quite sure if a system of elemental symbols has been developed in universe, so we may not be able to place composition onto the compound, even if suspension of disbelief is incredibly strained. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:56, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Legacy of the Force

You asked me to stop moving the legacy of the force books. My reasoning was that other wise the titles are all different such as the Betrayal page is simply "Betrayal" whereas Tempest is "Tempest(novel)". This would keep it more consistent but if you want me to stop I will.Darth Solus 21:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Whistler and sentient species category revamp

Since you volunteered your droid, would it be possible for Whistler to go to Category:Races and species and split the articles in that category into Category:Sentient species (*), where * = the initial letter of the article title? I don't know it that would be too complicated or not. —Silly Dan (talk) 20:31, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Let me make sure I get this straight. You want all of the species starting with the letter 'a' to go in Category:Sentient species (A), such as Aalagar, Aar'aa, Aaris, etc. And then do the same thing with b, c, d, etc. If that's correct so far, would I be replacing the current category - Category:Races and species - with these new ones, or would it just be in addition to it. Also, would it include species under the subcats like Category:Aquatic sentient species or not? —Xwing328(Talk) 04:58, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
    • The alphabetical categories, under what I proposed for the revamp, would be subcategories of the main sentient species category (or sub-sub categories grouped together as "Sentient species by name" or something like that.) I'd also like Category:Races and species to have its name changed to Category:Sentient species, which could be done by hand after all the subcategories are eatablished. The alphabetized categories would include those articles already in subcats like Category:Aquatic sentient species, but those categories are small enough that they could be taken care of by hand, probably. I don't know if it's a good idea to start on it right away, though, partly because I can't respond to any criticism of the concept until the new year...—Silly Dan (talk) 05:11, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
      • I agree, and the whole point of this alphacat setup is ease in finding the species, but one can still have it included with its similar species. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:14, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
        • OK, I'm pretty sure I see what you want, so I'll probably do a bit of it tonight (or this morning, whatever :P). Let me know if it goes wrong. —Xwing328(Talk) 05:16, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
          • Seems your bot missed three species that didn't have the exact capitalization or spacing for Category:Races and species. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:20, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
            • I guess it happens every time there is an extra space in the category. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:37, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
              • It's because some of them are "Category: Races and species" with a space in there. I've got an easy fix for that now though. —Xwing328(Talk) 05:38, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
              • What would you like me to do for articles like Kasa Horansi that are currently under H, even though they start with K? —Xwing328(Talk) 05:48, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
                • That is tricky considering that its one of four subspecies of the Horansi. Since are technically subspecies, with this new system they would fall into a Category:Sentient subspecies or Category:Subspecies by sentient species. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:50, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
