Insider 83

Hey, Xwing, I hope things have gotten back to normal for you! You list Star Wars Insider 83 as part of your collection. Any idea where it mentions R3-O1? I'm having a bit of a problem tracking down the reference. Thanks for any help, ~ SavageBob 03:24, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey, it's not back to normal yet, but I am at least back in the US. I checked 83 fairly thoroughly and could not find anything. I'm doubting that's the right issue, since the magazine is from 2005, and the BTS is talking about a 2009 action figure. —Xwing328(Talk) 17:36, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks for looking. I have put a notice on the R3-M3 article and its talk page asking for clarification on the R3-O1 designation; we'll see what comes of it. But it seems to me that it was rumor that gained a life of its own on the 'net. Good luck with the unpacking and/or whatever else you've got on your plate, and thanks again. ~ SavageBob 19:52, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Moving image categories

Hey Xwing :), about moving image categories, pybot has an option to change the categories without moving them with the -inplace argument. so you would do category.py move -from:Images_from_Star_Wars_Republic -to:Images_from_Star_Wars:_Republic -inplace and it won't move them out of the template. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 04:30, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • I thought there was something like that. Thanks Grunny! —Xwing328(Talk) 04:30, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
    • No problem :-). Grunny (talk) 04:32, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

CSF FA nomination

Hi. Could you please review the Coruscant Security Force article for an FA nomination? I'm hoping to get approval as soon as I can. Thanks for your help! Coruscantfan 23:40, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hello!

Hi Xwing,

I was wondering if I could ask you a favour. You list Star Wars Insider 74 in your collection --- is there any chance that you could take a look at the "Who's Who in Echo Base" article and tell me what, if anything, it has to say about Lieutenant Page? ^^ Thanks so much, and if not, don't worry about it and sorry to bother you. Menkooroo 08:23, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey Menkooroo, sorry about the delay. I never got the email or notice that I had a message on my talk page. I'll take a look and shoot you a message. —Xwing328(Talk) 03:47, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • No need to apologize! Thanks so much for the info. Very much appreciated. Cheers! Menkooroo 04:38, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

CWA 5 image requests

Hey, Xwing, would you be able to upload some images from The Order of Outcasts story from Clone Wars Adventures Volume 5? I'm working on Gaan's, Joc Sah's, and possibly Sev's articles, so these images would come in handy.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 05:21, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • I should be able to tonight. —Xwing328(Talk) 21:04, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
  • I've uploaded a cleaner image of Sev and a new headshot of Gaan. I have a scan of Sev lying dead on the floor, and can maybe get another of Gaan or Joc Sah if they contribute to any future text you write, but they don't fit in the articles at the moment. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:55, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the images. I think I'm good for Sah and Gaan, will let you know for Sev and Remy.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 05:07, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

Planets page

Hi, im from another wiki. I saw the star wars planets page and am thinking if you can put a link to my wiki (because its about non-fictional planets). Thanks.

Thomas Wonderson talk 19:16, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey Thomas, we usually don't link to other sites unless they are used as reference or directly expand on the content of the article. Thanks. —Xwing328(Talk) 01:58, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Bounty Hunters' Guild Handbook (Vossk)

I noticed that you should have Star Wars Insider 99 and I would like to know, in Bounty Hunters' Guild Handbook (article) when it says about Vossk being a leader of the guild, does it say "a leader" or "the leader" or otherwise indicate which way it should be taken? Thanks (: --Tm_T (Talk) 11:59, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey Tm_T, it lists this: Guild Leaders: Vossk [Old Republic era], Cardossk [Rebellion era], Guild Council [Legislature]. I've added the change to his article, but obviously feel free to change further. Cheers! —Xwing328(Talk) 04:46, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks! (: --Tm_T (Talk) 05:51, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Dialogue template

Hi, I noticed that your edit in {{Dialogue}} caused to appear in the end of the whole quote because were opened only if there were audiofile defined. I tried to make it work as you expected, but please doublecheck it so I didn't mess anything. (: --Tm_T (Talk) 11:26, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • It looks like you got it right. Sorry about the mistake, and good catch. I'll have to double-check the other quote templates I touched because I probably made the same mistake. —Xwing328(Talk) 15:28, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Insider 31

Hey, Xwing. I noticed Star Wars Insider 31 listed in your collection. Can you check the article Building a Better Jedi for any unique info on the Seven Dark Jedi and Qu Rahn? QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 09:10, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sure thing:
    • Gorc is 8 feet tall (his wiki article says 3 meters).
    • Pic is 4 feet (his article says less than 1 meter).
    • Yun is "the most wild" of the group.
    • Sariss was "proficient in both mental and physical aspects of the Force." I don't think her article really mentions that.
    • Maw has completely conflicting info: "Maw is a tortured soul who grew up in the streets, started a speeder bike gang, and then became a Dark Jedi." There is one new full-body image of him holding an extinguished lightsaber.
    • Boc: For the BTS section, Michael Burnett created the makeup for Boc based on photos of Bib Fortuna. The makeup application took an hour and a half to apply to the actor, and consisted of large, painful, red contact lenses.
    • Rahn: Nothing new.

Enjoy! —Xwing328(Talk) 18:32, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Question

Do you have X-wing alliance? if so could you upload a screen shot of the Sabra in flight that is sharper than the one we have now?? Thanks!!

--Master Liz 04:17, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's ironic. I do have the game, but I can't install it on my system anymore... I need to put together an old Windows 95/98 box or something to get those classics running again. Sorry! —Xwing328(Talk) 05:03, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Texas!!!!

Hey man! I'm a Texan too. Texas rox!!!! Anyway, I was wondering if you had a way to upload a thirty second audio clip of the Main Title. I think the article would greatly benefit from it. Thanks. Master Fredcerique | (Talk) 14:57, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sure thing! File:MainTitle.ogg I'll let you add it to the article. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:32, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
  • Dude, thanks! I'll add when I'm on a computer (not my iPod.). Thanks again and God bless! Master Fredcerique | (Talk) 17:02, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Re: CSWE

I'm just placing everything in order by release date. The CSWE came out in December '08, so it should be placed before sources like the Atlas, which came out in August '09. Xicer920px(Combadge) 06:55, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • I know we have a List of Star Wars media, that's probably the closest you'll find. I do a lot of organizing of Sources lists, so I have many of the release dates memorized by now. Xicer920px(Combadge) 01:39, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
    • Hey, thanks for the award. I appreciate it. Xicer920px(Combadge) 06:55, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Image request

Hey Xwing, could you upload an image of Sev's ARC trooper ordering the clones to attack Joc Sah and his allies? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:33, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Jedi Apprentice: The Deadly Hunter Info

Hey, I'm working on the CSF FA nomination. I'm wondering if you could give me all the info in Jedi Apprentice: The Deadly Hunter regarding the Ren S'orn case including why it was opened and why his mother Uta S'orn asked it to be closed. Also any and all information that you can find in that book/series on Yur T'aug including personality, bio, etc. His article didn't really help. Supposedly he was the overall commander of the CSF but if you could confirm/deny that. If you could let me know as soon as you can, I'd appreciate it a lot!! Coruscantfan 20:01, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • I probably won't have the time to work on that anytime soon. —Xwing328(Talk) 00:36, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ah, that's ok. If you do have a little time could you as an Inq review the article? Coruscantfan 06:08, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

MainTitle.ogg

Hey. Could you tell me what movie the Main Title clip you uploaded was from. I need to know so I can upload the other three versions from the other movies. Thanks. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 20:16, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yeah, it was from the Ep4 sound track (says it on the file's page btw). Why do you need the other movies as well. Aren't they virtually identical? I wouldn't think we'd want a clip of it from every movie/game/etc. it ever appears in. That would be crazy. —Xwing328(Talk) 21:47, October 1, 2010 (UTC)
    • omgosh my head has not been on straight or something here lately. Duh, why didn't I look on the file page?!?! Anyway, I'm not uploading one from every movie and game. The games generally use ANH's version. However, I do believe that ANH, TESB, ROTJ, and TPM all have different, alterred, recordings. AOTC and and ROTS use TPM's. That's all the versions I'm uploading besides any game or film or show that has it's own altered version. The topic is discussed in the body, so I figure it would be nice to be able to hear the difference too. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 03:47, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Bot

Hi. I'm attempting to create a bot to help with mundane tasks on this wiki. I've been trying to follow your instructions on making a bot, but I'm having trouble. So I was wondering if you could give me instructions on making one. You seem to be good at it, and I think that this bot could really help out! Thanks so much! --Gmalek (The ability to edit does not make you intelligent) 22:40, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you're looking to start a new bot, I would highly recommend you read Wookieepedia:Bots first. It tells you some steps you must do before actually creating a bot. After that, the instructions on User:Xwing328/Pywikipedia will be a great starting point (which it sounds like you've already read), but they have not been updated in some time. I don't personally have the time right now to ensure they are accurate for new bots, so if you are serious about starting one, have the community's approval, and are still stuck in getting started, I would recommend searching the internet for more help. If you have a specific problem, feel free to ask, but again I've been very busy and haven't been able to contribute to the wiki as much as I would like to recently, so I can't guarantee you anything. Cheers! —Xwing328(Talk) 05:53, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
  • Okay. Thank you! --Gmalek (The ability to edit does not make you intelligent) 23:22, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

37th Meeting

Hello, Xwing328.

I'm writing to remind you about the upcoming Inq meeting this Saturday/Sunday. Early registration is still available! Hope to see you there. Fiolli 17:42, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

WED-15-77

Hi Xwing! Could you check the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (junior novelization) and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (Mighty Chronicles) for additional info, appearance or mention of WED-15-77 Treadwell droid? It should appear next to C-3PO, when Anakin arrives to the Lars farm. Darth Morrt 20:03, November 17, 2010 (UTC) -Thanks. Darth Morrt 02:41, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Entrance Exam

Hello, my friend! I'm wondering if you can help me out. I feel a little bad asking, since you seem to give a lot of help to others based on your vast collection, but I'm currently gathering sources for [[User:Menkooroo/Workbench|a project of mine]], and if you could help me, I'd be extremely grateful. Is there any chance that you can check your copies of Diplomatic Corps Entrance Exam and Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary and let me know what info they have on Lumpy? If so, you are amazing, and if not, you are still amazing. Thank you! Menkooroo 19:04, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

  • Scratch The Visual Dictionary --- Clone Commander Lee provided me with info from The Complete Visual Dictionary, which is The Visual Dictionary and the prequel ones reprinted. When it comes to the Diplomatic Corps Entrance Exam, though, I think that you may be my only hope! :D Menkooroo 15:23, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • Actually, scratch that too. Xicer was able to provide me with that info. Thank you for taking the time to read this, though, and for the help that you give everybody! You are wonderful. Menkooroo 15:41, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
      • Awesome, glad you were able to get what you needed! I was about to message you last night to see if you could narrow down the search a little since the entrance exam isn't the smallest of books. —Xwing328(Talk) 01:54, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
