"I…I need to get back to work—these repairs won't make themselves"
―Yarzion Vell, on his repair work on Vianax[2]

A settlement on the astronomical object Vianax had been ruined by 229 BBY. That year, Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, made repairs to the settlement after fighting members of the Nihil marauders on Vianax. While they worked, a group of children watched them and were impressed by Kelnacca. They spoke to Vell about his master and then asked about Vell's tattoos, but Vell claimed they had no meaning and then avoided further questions by saying he had to return to his repair work.

Description

A ruined settlement was located on the[2] Outer Rim[3] astronomical object Vianax. The settlement had gray buildings that lay in ruins, including one with a rectangular window and a short set of stairs next to it. The ground within the settlement was covered in rubble and debris.[2]

History

"Forget the Wookiee. What are those?"
"Hmm?"
"On your head. Are they drawn on your skin?"

By 229 BBY,[1] the settlement lay in ruins.[2] That year,[1] after fighting members of the Nihil marauders on Vianax, Jedi Master Kelnacca and his Padawan, Yarzion Vell, made repairs to the settlement. As they worked, three children—a human, an Elomin, and another alien—watched them and were impressed by Kelnacca's strength and use of the Force to move debris. The children approached Vell and spoke with him about Kelnacca, with one noting they had never seen a Wookiee before. The human asked about Kelnacca's silence, and Vell answered by explaining he only spoke when necessary. The children then asked Vell about his tattoos, which spelled the name of his previous master, Lulad, but Vell claimed they had no meaning and avoided answering further questions by saying he needed to go back to his repair work.[2]

Around 149 BBY,[4] when Vell was dying, he told his own Padawan, Ordea, about his time in the settlement while telling them stories of his training under Kelnacca.[2]

Behind the scenes

The settlement appeared in a flashback in the one-shot comic The Acolyte - Kelnacca 1, written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Marika Cresta, and published by Marvel Comics[2] on September 4, 2024.[5]
