The turf war with the Dank Graks[1] was a criminal conflict that took place during the High Republic Era. It saw the Force-sensitive outcasts of the Dank Graks attempt to wrest control of the planet Takodana from the pirate queen Maz Kanata and rid the world of the influence of the Jedi Order. The war had its origins decades earlier in a dispute between Kanata and Arkik Von, the Geonosian leader of the Graks, that saw the former con the latter out of control of the planet.[3] Inspector Raf Thatchburn of the Galactic Antipiracy Command attempted to settle the conflict and bring both groups to justice,[1] occasionally siding with Kanata's faction when their interests aligned.[3]
