The Thusa sector was a sector in the Mid Rim Territories and the New Territories, containing the Bedlam, Daghee, Gorvinia, and Praktin systems, as well as the Bedlam Pulsar. The sector was a part of the Galactic Republic, being represented by Senator Worus Rayencourt in its Senate in 132 BBY. Native to the Daghee system's eponymous world, Lina Soh served as the planet's Senator until she was elected Supreme Chancellor around 234 BBY.
Description
The Thusa sector was a sector situated in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was home to the Bedlam system,[1] inside of which the planet Bedlam was found.[4] The Bedlam Pulsar was also located in the sector, as were the Gorvinia and Praktin systems,[1] the latter of which contained the location Praktin.[5] The planet Daghee was positioned in[6] the sector's Daghee system and all of the sector's star systems were located in grid square O-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
History
Worus Rayencourt represented the sector in the Galactic Senate.
The Thusa sector was a part of the Galactic Republic and the human Senator Worus Rayencourt served as its representative in the Republic's Senate[3] in 132 BBY.[7]
Locations
The Gorvinia system[1] was the point of origin for the Gorvinian red beverage.[8][9] The Soh family, including the humans Lina Soh and her son Kitrep Soh,[10] hailed from Daghee[6] and Lina represented the world as a senator in the Republic's Senate of the until she was elected to the post of Supreme Chancellor around 234 BBY.[11] At some point during the Galactic Civil War, the 61st Mobile Infantry of the Alliance to Restore the Republic was sent to Praktin.[5] In 34 ABY,[12] little was known about Bedlam besides stories.[4] By that year,[12] the collector Dok-Ondar acquired a relic that was supposedly from the planet.[4]
Behind the scenes
Thusa sector in the Star Wars Legends continuity
The Thusa sector was first mentioned in the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and published in 2025.[3] The Thusa sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where the name was first used in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace. The Online Companion placed Bedlam system and thus[13] the planet[14] Bedlam in the sector.[13] Bedlam first appeared in the comic story "Tilotny Throws a Shape" written by Alan Moore, printed in the 154th issue of the The Empire Strikes Back Monthly comic series[15] published in February 1982.[16] Therefore, "Tilotny Throws a Shape" was retroactively made the sector's first appearance in the Legends continuity.[15]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Gorvinian red in relation to Gorvinia system.
