Around 6 BBY,[1] a theft occurred at the naval yard in Lozash, in which an Imperial masking unit was among the items taken. A year later,[2] in 5 BBY,[1] a rebel pilot who had ran supplies for Kreegyr and his group utilized the masking device while traveling to the Ring of Kafrene[2] in the Expansion Region.[3] The pilot, using the masking device, flashed an Imperial-listed profile for a brief moment, but was ultimately captured by the Empire, who discovered the masking device and its origin point from the Lozash naval yard.[2]
