"The Imperial masking device he used is one of the items stolen from the naval yard in Lozash last year."
―Heert, to Major Lio Partagaz, on the rebel pilot[3]

Lozash was located in an eponymous star system in the Bes Ber Bikade sector[1] within the Trailing Sectors portion[2] of the Expansion Region. Situated at the coordinates L-15 on the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] it was the site of a naval yard by the time of the Galactic Empire.[3] Around 6 BBY,[4] a number of items were stolen from the naval yard, including an Imperial masking unit.[3]

In 5 BBY,[4] the following year, the masking device was being used by a rebel pilot when he was captured by the Empire on his way to the Ring of Kafrene,[3] a trading outpost.[5] Attendant Corv of the Imperial Security Bureau looked into the origins of the masking unit and found that the device was connected with the theft at Lozash, with fellow attendant Heert relaying the information during a meeting with some of the ISB Board.[3]

Behind the scenes

Lozash was mentioned in "Nobody's Listening!," ninth episode of the first season of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor[3] which was aired on November 2, 2022.[6]
