The Suolriep sector,[1] also known as sector J-19,[6] was a sector in the galaxy. It was full of barren planets[11] and contained the Saleucami system.[1] By the time of a Nihil attack on a Hutt starship in the Kazlin system[4] in 232 BBY,[12] the sector was part of the Galactic Frontier and had only been aligned with the Galactic Republic for a few months, which the Jedi Terec speculated was the reason the Hutt ship had been traveling there despite a Republic embargo on trade with the clans.[4]
During the Clone Wars, several battles took place in the sector: the capture of Eeth Koth[5] and subsequent Battle of Saleucami,[6] as well as the Siege of Saleucami during the Outer Rim Sieges.[9]
In the first days of the Galactic Empire, the fugitive Clone Force 99 set a course for the sector after escaping Kamino, as they knew someone there, Cut Lawquane, who could potentially help them.[13]
