- "Physiologically speaking, the insectoids from the planet Stic are apparently highly adaptive, as our scouts were able to document individual specimens for various specializations in their society."
- ―Carson Teva, "Species From A to Z"
Stic was a planet[4] located in the Stic system of the Xappyh sector,[3] a part of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square Q-3 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Stic was the homeworld of the Xi'Dec species of sentient insectoids. It was mentioned in "Species From A to Z," a survival compendium compiled by New Republic Captain Carson Teva during the New Republic Era.[4]
Behind the scenes
Stic's name was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a map[1] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[5] that was created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and given out as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[6] on May 27, 2022[7] prior to the book's release during Celebration Europe[8] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[9] It was subsequently first established as a distinct planet in[4] the September 27, 2024[10] 115th issue of the Star Wars - Das offizielle Magazin German-language magazine.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Stic system made its first appearance in the 1998 video game Star Wars: Rebellion,[11] after which it was identified by name in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[12]
