"So our next deployment was somewhere hot. Maybe the Empire was trying to make up for the last place, but this place was scalding. Where was it again… Mustafar? Senna? Couldn’t have been Tatooine."
―Sentinel[4]

Senna was a planet known for its lava and heat.[4] It was located in the Kessel system[3] within the Kessel sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and The Slice[2] in grid square T-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] In 9 ABY,[5] during an interview session[4] for the competitive sports show Hunters of the Outer Rim,[6] the human Hunter Sentinel[7] shared his past as a stormtrooper of the Galactic Empire. In his reminiscing, he claimed to have fought and prevailed over a Fireworm on a lava planet—although he was unsure if it was on Senna or another lava planet, Mustafar—by shoving a Permafrost crystal in the creature's maw. Later Imara Vex,[4] another competitor in the show,[6] came in and warned fans of the dubious legitimacy of Sentinel's stories.[4]

Behind the scenes

Senna was introduced in the current Star Wars canon via the video game Star Wars: Hunters, which was developed by NaturalMotion's BossAlien[6] and initially published by Zynga on November 16, 2021, as a soft launch[8] before the global release on June 4, 2024.[9] The game was then taken offline on October 1, 2025.[10] The mention of the planet was included in a quote as part of the "Sentinel Mastery II" questline.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Senna was first mentioned in the 1996 West End Games sourcebook The Jedi Academy Sourcebook written by Paul Sudlow for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[11]
