The Petrusia system was a star system located in the Nuon e Safyd sector of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was located in grid square P-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained[3] the planet[4] Petrusia,[3] homeworld of the sentient Petrusian species.[4] At some point between 19 BBY and 10 BBY,[5] the Galactic Empire sezied control of Petrusia and enslaved the Petrusians, sending some to an Imperial outpost on the[3] planet[6] Kullgroon.[3] In 10 BBY,[5] the smuggler Lando Calrissian and his droid companion L3-37 helped the Petrusian resistance fighters Kristiss and her father Rythus free the Petrusians at the outpost, after which the two Petrusians led those from the outpost back to Petrusia to rebuild it.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Petrusia system was first mentioned as just "Petrusia" on the Star Wars Galaxy Map created as a tie-in to the 2022 reference book Star Wars: Timelines.[8] It was first identified as the Petrusia system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[9]
