At least four days before the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic launched Operation Mad Rush. On day four of the Operation, the Empire destroyed Alderaan. The news soon reached the 61st Mobile Infantry who were about to attack the Imperial forces on Vir Aphshire.^[1]
