Around 3 ABY,[3] the rebel and Jedi Padawan Luke Skywalker undertook a mission to the planet Coruscant to rescue a family of Crimson Dawn spies who had defected from the Galactic Empire. The mission was ultimately a success, and the family were taken to the rebel fleet to be debriefed by Rebel Intelligence. During the journey back to the fleet, Skywalker spoke with Jon Melton and Bevelyn, who had worked on the second Death Star prior to their defection, and the two informed Skywalker about their roles aboard the Death Star. After arriving at the fleet, Skywalker informed Chancellor Mon Mothma, Admiral Gial Ackbar, and General Hera Syndulla of the construction of the station.[1] In the wake of the revelation of the new Death Star, Skywalker would join a mission to the auction on Spira as part of a plan to try and secure fuel for the rebel fleet.[2]
