"Jedi business, go back to your drinks."
―Anakin Skywalker, to Nyrat Agira and other clubgoers — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[4]

Nyrat Agira was a Human female clubgoer who was a member of the Zealots of Psusan cult. The trendy cult member formed a regular group with her acquaintances Wilst Molan and Di Mantid that visited the Outlander Club on the planet Coruscant looking for a rich and powerful mate. In 22 BBY, she was inside the Outlander Club with her friends Immi Danoo and Rosha Vess at the same time as the bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell.

Shortly after, she was once again in the club, competing for the title of best-dressed with her acquaintances. She was questioned by bounty hunter Kalyn Farnmir about the High Priest of the Zealots, Scri Oscuro. Agira, who was easily intimidated by Farnmir, revealed that Oscuro was on Coruscant, and that he had done dealings with Farnmir's partner, Cian Shee. Later that night, she drank and talked with Danoo, Vess, and another Human just as Wesell went into the establishment to hide. She and her friends watched as Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi disarmed Wesell and apprehended her. After the Jedi left, she identified a weak-minded individual to convert to the cult.

Nyrat Agira was a young[1] and trendy[5] Human female clubgoer[1] part of[6] the planet[3] Coruscant's party scene.[6] She was a member of the Zealots of Psusan,[1] a fast-growing[7] female-empowering[8] religious[9] cult[10] fashionable on Coruscant during the last years of the Galactic Republic.[9] The cult member club-hopped with her friend Immi Danoo, and Rosha Vess, another friend who was also a member of the Zealots of Psusan.[11]

Agira was always up to date with the latest fashion and was well known for her incredible hair creations. The cult member and her acquaintances Wilst Molan and Di Mantid formed a regular group that visited the Outlander Club,[2] a nightclub and gambling hall located in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant.[12] The group visited the club in hopes of finding a rich and powerful mate.[2] In 22 BBY,[13] Agira visited the club at the same time as the bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell. She stood next to Danoo and Vess.[14]

Farnmir's interrogation

During a night[10] shortly after in that same year,[15] Agira, wanting to stand out,[11] visited the Outlander Club again.[10] Other individuals at the club, like Molan and Mantid, attempted to surpass the efforts of Agira's fashion, though they were no real competition.[2] Agira came face-to-face[1] with bounty hunter Kalyn Farnmir, who had recognized the cult tattoo on Agira's abdomen as a symbol of the Zealots of Psusan. Farnmir's partner, the slicer Cian Shee, had sold Farnmir out to the corrupt High Priest of the cult, Scri Oscuro. Farnmir easily intimidated and interrogated the woman about the priest's[10] whereabouts and her tattoo.[5] Agira was able to confirm that Oscuro, who was on Coruscant, had done dealings with Shee.[10] The information Farnmir acquired confirmed the bounty hunter's worst fears.[1]

Later that night, Agira stood near the club's bar as she socialized and drank with Danoo, Vess, and another Human just as Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker entered the club looking for Wesell after her assassination attempt on the Senator Padmé Amidala.[4] Agira and her friends' fleeting attention was drawn[16] by Kenobi as he cut off Wesell's arm when she attempted to ambush him, turning to stare as he did so. Skywalker told the clubgoers to go back to their drinks and the Jedi left with Wesell.[4] As the Jedi interrogated Wesell outside, Agira identified a weak-minded individual to convert to the cult and moved away from the bar with them.[7]

Personality and traits

Agira was typical of the Coruscant club scene.[1] She was ditzy[11] and easily intimidated by Kalyn Farnmir when interrogated.[10] She was friends with Immi Danoo and[17] Rosha Vess[18] and acquaintances with Wilst Molan and Di Mantid. While Agira, Molan, and Mantid looked like friends, they were in fierce competition with each other for the unofficial title of "best-dressed Outlander patron," a title Agira usually won.[2] She had a minimalist taste in clothing[11] and adorned herself in superficialities meant to catch the eye of a potential mate or a potential mark, like others of her age.[1]

Agira was a lithe woman who was considered beautiful. She possessed light skin[1] and auburn hair.[2] The irises of her eyes were surgically altered to the less mundane hue[1] of blue.[3] On the night the Jedi apprehended Wesell, Agira wore her hair in the latest[2] tall, curving solloops hairstyle.[1] The trusses of[2] sprayed curlicues[11] rose up from the back of her head like serpents.[2] She had a visible[5] tattoo of the Zealots of Psusan's[1] starburst[11] mark[1] located around her navel, betraying her spiritual devotion,[3] or at least denoting another passing trend.[1]

Skills and abilities

Agira was able to stay up to date with the latest fashion, which on Coruscant could change with dizzying speed. Her hair creations were considered incredible, and she became well known for them.[2]

Equipment

Agira wore fashionably impractical clothes made from soluble zoosha fabric.[1] While in the Outlander Club, she wore a charismatic[2] outfit consisting of a red top,[3] red leggings[19] made from zoosha fabric, and a pair of red heels.[3]

Behind the scenes

Creation and filming

"Nyrat's equally dolled-up friends Immi Danoo and Rosha Vess suggest that the club-hopping trio might be the intergalactic embodiment of the Valley Girl stereotype."

Nyrat Agira was created for the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones,[4] which was released on May 16, 2002.[20] The Outlander Club scenes including Agira, who was portrayed by an uncredited extra,[4] were shot at Fox Studios, Sydney on July 17, 2000.[21] Agira and other patrons of the Outlander Club were named by George Lucas and his film production company Lucasfilm during the film's production in anticipation of licensing and spin-off fiction opportunities.[22]

In other material

Prior to the film's release, the character was first revealed when the extra playing her, in costume, introduced the seventh episode of the Episode II behind-the-scenes video series on location.[23] The episode, "Color Me Star Wars", was released on September 12, 2000.[24] Agira was later identified in the StarWars.com article "Making Up is Hard to Do: Lesley Vanderwalt", which was published on February 15, 2002.[25] The character then first appeared in an illustration in the young readers book Jango Fett: Bounty Hunter, written by Eric Arnold, illustrated by Valerie Reckert,[14] and released on April 23, 2002.[26] The image of her in the book[14] was taken from the then-upcoming film.[4]

In Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, a reference book written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton[27] and published in April 2003,[28] and in the ninety-sixth issue of The Official Star Wars Fact File magazine, written by Iain Lowson[29] and published by De Agostini[2] on October 29, 2003,[30] Nyrat Agira is incorrectly named "Agira Nyrat."[2][27] The magazine also misspells her name as "Agirat".[2] The mistake in Inside of the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones was later republished in the reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations[7] on October 17, 2005.[20]

In the article "Who's Who in the Outlander Club: It's Ladies' Night," published in the seventy-fifth issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine[11] on April 6, 2004,[31] author Daniel Wallace describes Agira and her friends as the "intergalactic embodiment of the Valley girl stereotype."[11] In 2005, Kalyn Farnmir's backstory, which included Agira, was further fleshed out by Benjamin Christopher Norton Dawe, writing under the alias "Captain Yossarian," through the StarWars.com Hyperspace feature. In 2007, Dawe published the original draft of the story through Star Wars: Blogs. The original draft included differences left unpublished, such as Farnmir jamming her blaster in Agira's belly, and Agira pointing at Cian Shee.[32]
