"Help us settle this very important debate. What shall we serve for dinner tonight: Mynock Casserole, or Lurker Stew?"

Mynock Casserole was a type of casserole made with mynock wings and pickled marcan. Around 3 ABY, the Rokana Raiders pirate group voted on whether to serve Mynock Casserole or Lurker Stew while in the tavern at their base in the Sayma Nebula.

Description

Mynock Casserole was a hearty casserole edible by humans and Sullustans. It was made with pickled marcan and the wings[1] of the space-borne bat-like[2] mynocks. A portion of the casserole was worth sixty credits.[1]

History

"We'll have to vote again!"
"Why? You Bantha brains won't budge. We're at a stalemate!"

The Rokana Raiders debated serving Lurker Stew or Mynock Casserole.

Around 3 ABY,[3] a group of pirates called the Rokana Raiders had servings of both Mynock Casserole and Lurker Stew prepared at the raiders' tavern at their base, the tomb of the Khepi hidden within the Sayma Nebula. In order to decide which of the two meals to serve, the crew held a vote, consistent with the pirate's egalitarian Rokana Code. The vote, however, ended in a stalemate with a human raider voting for the stew and a Sullustan member hoping for the casserole.[1]

Hoping to end the stalemate, the human called over nearby fellow human Kay Vess, a thief who was disguised as a Rokana Raider in order to rob the group. After casting her tie-breaking vote, Vess was given a portion of her chosen dish. The human raider then set the other meal aside so it could be put into cold storage and used for the next day's meal.[1]

Behind the scenes

"The right choice! Who knows what will happen once they open that tomb - if this is my last meal, I want to actually enjoy it."
―The Sullustan's response if Kay Vess chooses the Mynock Casserole to be served[1]

Mynock Casserole appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which released on May 15, 2025.[4] The interaction is entirely optional and the choice of meal does not affect the expansion's story.[1]
