Lonania Prime was a location[3] in the Lonania system of the Kossa sector within the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It fell within grid square O-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Along with a number of other locations, including Atanu, Jabone IV, Mupin XII, and[3] the ice planet[4] Hoth, Lonania Prime was scanned by[3] General[4] Jan Dodonna of the Rebel Alliance prior to his death[3] in 1 ABY.[4] Lonania Prime was listed as a potential location for a new rebel base, and the Rebel Alliance members Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo were sent to undertake reconnaissance on the sites that Dodonna had scanned.[3]
