The Kossa sector was a sector of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] In grid square O-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the Basarais, Geldoll, Hrasskis, Lonania, and Teljkon systems, as well as the Kossa Prime system in the Kossa Prime sector, a sub-sector of the Kossa sector. The Kossa sector also covered the Ankori system in grid square P-10.[1] The Lonania system contained Lonania Prime, a location consisdered as a potential site for an Alliance to Restore the Republic base.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Kossa sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4]
The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[5] The Kossa sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region.[6]
