Lateron

Lateron was a small planet located in the Mid Rim that was home to the Latero species. The planet fell under the control of the Galactic Empire, who viewed it as expendable, making life difficult for its inhabitants.

Description

Located in the Lateron system in the Talcene sector of the Mid Rim Territories^[1] along the Perlemian Trade Route,^[2] Lateron was a small and comfortable terrestrial planet, according to the Latero Greez Dritus. It was known for its spices.^[3]

History

Lateron saw involvement during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and suffered greatly.^[5] Some time after the rise of the Galactic Empire, they occupied the planet, providing no support to its inhabitants, who were prone to attacks from gangsters. According to Dritus, who attended the Lateron Space Academy on his homeworld, Lateron continued to suffer under the Galactic Empire, who saw the planet as expendable. Eventually, Dritus left Lateron, taking jobs as a pilot.^[3]

Inhabitants

Lateron was the homeworld of the Latero species. Dritus, lived on Lateron with his great-grandmother. Dritus also had a crew on Lateron during the reign of the Galactic Empire.^[3]

Locations

The Lateron Space Academy was a piloting academy located on Lateron. The planet also hosted at least one private cantina, which Greez Dritus attempted to be let into.^[3]

Lateron was first mentioned in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.^[3]
