The Kossa Prime sector was a sub-sector of the Kossa sector in the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] In grid square O-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid, the sub-sector contained the Kossa Prime system.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Kossa Prime sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[3]
The Kossa Prime sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was originally created for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a 2004 Obsidian Entertainment video game. However, prior to the game's release, the HK Manufacturing Plant section of the game in which the Kossa Prime sector was mentioned was cut and so no mention of the sector made it into the final release, although the unused cut files were still present in the Xbox 360 release of the game.[4] The sector was then established to exist in the Legends continuity in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry.[5]
